She is a great ref, perhaps the best in the biz. She dosent take any BS from anyone. When she isnt at work she is sweet and nice as can be. She is a great snooker ref as well. Everyone respects her too.
The vibe of York Hall is unlike anything I have ever seen in pool, and takes a strong ref to handle that crowd(they are nice guys at the end of the day) It really blows that we lost, jet lag, the break, Darren playing so good are 3 reasons we were competitive but didnt cross the line first. Everynight after it was over lots of guys would come up and talk to us, some appologised for their behaviour, I said "It your house not mine, I aint mad at anyone". The 3rd night about 5 or 6 groups of guys came up to me before any matches started and asked if they could be loud, I told them the same thing-its your Hall were the guests. I couldnt figure out why they were comming up to me, Perhaps because I was sitting next to Nick. It was fun, I hope in 2 years we play there again and drill them-in their house, that would be great.
Being a half assed player for the past 25 years and knowing what I know about pool, I wished I could have played on our team. I know I'm not even close to making the team but what a dream come true that would be and fun. I'm as close to it as possible and not playing, Thats the biggest honor I've had in pool, Thanks Luke(I hope he see's this). And Nick as well, Thanks buddy.
I honestly felt in a couple spots I could have played good enough to be there, I play good scotch doubles. I'm dreaming out loud. But man I wanted to play. I have ran 5 packs with Max Eberley playing 9 ball. so why not there??
i'm done dreaming and rambling, i'm proud of our team and respect the fans at York Hall.
