his best was 9th , and now he won the 2007 European Championship Youth with the pupils in 8ball.
9ball will start tomorow
Im so happy for Stephen Lammens, he has dedicated his life to the sport, his mother is the best and must suportiv mother you can get. driving him everywhere, paying all the expenses, and living true his son. She is a god's blessing too.
Stephen alraedy showed before that he could play, but its only rescently he won his first national ranking event last month. This gave him the right boost of confidence for this years EC.
people wrote about him in the EC for man last year, as he had some nice victroy's where nobody gave the kid a real chance. Well they got surprised.
and now he proves what he is worth. He went to the final with big scores and hardly ever trailing. In the final, he seemed to have trouble with the stress, as he lost the first frames on his own break, and was quickly trailing 4-1.
He then made some counterbreaks to get hill hill, and over he went.
final score 5-6, and Stephen lammes is the new 2007 pupil european champion!!
im happy for my miniscule country, with hardly over 100 people playing.
if some remember, i posted some months ago a post to collect some donations to suport a youth tournament, and well, beside stephen other kids with HUGE potential (my 0.2c) could go far, but without the backup its hard, very hard.
Lucky Stephen has his mother who will pay his entre fee's at any cost, and the result: the titel.
greath story, greath guy, greath family, greath for the sport...
just like pool should be.
im happy to be a belgium poolplayer !!
now we have:
Wendy jans: multiple world champion snooker
Ceulemens: multiple world champion 3cussion
Kurt: multiple European champion pool (weelchair)
Stephen: European champion pool (pupils)
u better watch out
i had a GREATH day anyway.
