Yo grady, i can't get you an invite to the 14.1 event but i want to ask if you are planning on playing in the upcoming Joss Tour Tournament at Turning Stone Casino? If your name is not already entered and you are interested in playing i would be more than glad to pay your entry into it. Expecting absolutely nothing in return. You would love this venue. Unfortunately i cannot afford to pay all the expenses but i will gladly put up the $150.00 entry fee for you to play. Just let me know and i will call Mike and put you in. In Memory of our good friend Chris Cass. Chris would get a kick out of it....................................mike peabody

Out of all the threads you could've posted this on, you picked this one? There's plenty of heated threads out there that Grady is included in. Why did you have to go and taint this one? This was a nice thread, started by a nice person, offering to do a nice thing.

Well Timberly some people just have to hijack any thread they can to make people miserable. Like the old saying goes. "if they are bothering me, then they must be leaving other people alone". I can handle that.....mike

Thanks a lot for the nice offer, Mike. You won't believe what happened about my going to Turning Stone!! I paid my entry fee and was really looking forward to playing. But I found out that the second IPT event was
over just two days before Turning Stone. Anyway, my wife and I decided that Orlando to upstate New York in a day and half might be a little much. So we cancelled our plans.
Then the IPT changed it's mind about the second event and we forgot about New York. Now we have other commitments but I greatly appreciate your offer. maybe another time.
Thanks, Grady

I realize that you are asking Cueball1950 but I have played, on and off, at the Golden Cue in Albany since 1966. The place has virtually stayed the same since that time.

I believe their are about 18-20 9 Foot tables w Simonis cloth. Tables are fast. Iam not positive, but I think that the Wednesday night Nineball tourney is still active.

Many very good players with action available.

I enjoy going to the Golden Cue in Albany on the Joss tournament trail. Rocco Spinelli is the owner, and he and his family run a topnotch pool room, and they welcome pool players. I like the atmosphere in this room, and there is a very strong pool culture in this town. BTW, I heard that at the Wednesday night weekly tournament, they've got a Big Rack going. I don't know if anybody has hit it yet, but it was up to several thousand dollars last I heard.

Next door to Golden Cue is Joe's Grill, some of the NICEST people you'd ever want to meet. Every time we go to Joe's Grill, it's like walking into the home of an old friend. They were serving some Caribou stew one year, which was quite scrumptious. Well, actually, Albany has some of the best cuisine in the region, IMHO.

The Joss Tour will be at Golden Cue, subject to check, in April of this year.
