You Ask "Who Makes The Best Bushka Tribute?"

But he assembled EVERY one. How about Tim, how many did Bob, Mike, Bill assemble or make entirely? You have no basis to bring this up, especially being the altar you pray at was built by many.

JV

Built his own forearms? Shouldn't a master do that? He was a builder and more over an assembler. And a innovator. He never made his own forearms though.
I did like mine. Played good on backed cloth. What the color of money did for Balabushka was hard to fade. Made his name known to all.

I am saying

He never built a complete Cue. Not one. Not One. Tim built Cues with his partners. But they for the most part built everything but the bumpers and joint pins.
I also think they out built George.
I rember Gary Pinkowski coming down here in the late 70's and showing me his Cue. Gary didn't buy Cues. He borrowed them. He did like his Balabushka a lot. He sold it and this was a few years later telling me look at this Cue. I said Balabushka? He no this guy builds the best playing Cue on the planet. Tim Scruggs? I said what are you nuts you didn't buy a Balabushka? He said nope. And I love this Cue.
That is when I started playing with and trying to collect Tim's Cues. Gary had won the World Champion Wide World of Sports 9 ball event that was televised on ABC earlier that year. Beat the Mezz in the finals.
That was good enough for me.
Nick :)

Really?

There are about 600 titlist conversions that would suggest otherwise. Unless you're going to tell me then that all the Scruggs Sneaky Petes aren't Tim's. Which they probably aren't...

BTW you don't want to go toe to toe with a list of pros, with tournament win's using the cuemakers cue, do you? I didn't thinks so...

The fact is Tim's shop turned out many Scruggs that Tim probably had NO part in. Every George Balabushka was worked on by HIM.

Here is my Jerry -R- just received. A lot of these great Cue Makers can make a great reproduction/tribute cue. I choose Jerry to do mine.

Oh Bob...that's a honey.....Jerry did an exquisite job with the veneers, rings & wrap.......really nicely done.

Did you confer with Jerry on the veneer selection or pick the colors yourself? Regardless, it turned out to be a winning combination.

For the other dozen or so awaiting their version of a Jerry R. Tribute, seeing your cue has got to get them excited about the one they're having made.
I know seeing your cue definitely elevated my blood pressure and I might add, impatience as well.

Your cue turned out great....an exact "replicant".....you should refer to it as "Blade Runner".....True in every respect down to the solitary ring above the wrap
the same as George did to avoid changing the cue's balance.

At you also got to talk with Jerry while your cue was being built which is always an added treat and it only elevates the total pleasure of having a custom cue built.

Jerry really wanted it said years ago.

Balabushka never built a complete Cue. And now you say he built one? Is it zero or one?
Big difference evidently!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is a sweet old Balabushka tribute built for an owner of a Balabushka. I like everything about it. Simple and pretty. Just how I like my everything.
Can't wait for it to show up. Guess the builder.
Nick :)
And sweet Cue Bob!! I am a fan.

jesus!!! My mouth is leaking all over the place..!! I love it!!!

There's so many talented cue-makers that haven't yet been viewed. Did Paul Mottey make one?
He made a cue called the Szambushka that sold on ebay 2 years ago for $2800 with a special
leather case included.

Does anyone have a photo of Steve Klein's Texas George Cue?

Lol

Ha....a prince in the wings.......let me give you some advice.

Do not put those two cues in the same case unsupervised.....you're asking for trouble.

One of those cues is definitely going to kill the other because there can only be one King at a time.

And the prince is too darn handsome to just wanna take a back seat & just like in the Vikings, Game of Thrones, The White Queen, DaVinci, etc.,
......two brothers fighting for the crown, well, only one can survive.

I was heard someone refer to cues having personalities. If so, that means jealousy is bound to develop between your two cues. Do yourself a favor
and just make sure you keep the two cues in separate cases.....sort of like Japanese Fighting Fish.

Matt B.

p.s. I also submit that Richard Black makes the most authentic looking George Balabushka design cue of any cue-maker.
It's surely not the best looking Bushka Tribute but it's an absolute dead ringer for a original George Balabushka cue.
Matt,
Pete is the man. Has the shop has the parts and has the knowledge . When it comes to Balabushka Pete is the man! PERIOD!

That's nice

I always liked these.
The Red Bushka, my friends now.
And Tim's personal Bushka, now mine.
Nick :D

Rigmaster.....Mark & Joe..........this may be the most stunning Balabushka we'll ever see on the Forum.....Okay.....GTB cue in case anyone
prefers that reference. It would have been an injustice to have written the best Bushka design cue because this cue sets the bar height for that.

Despite not having seen all the other Bushka cues Pete's made over the years, I'm having a hard time imagining any could have been more
majestic looking.......this cue is the Behemoth of Bushka cues et al......and being one of George's just makes it all the more special........and being
completed by Pete Tascarella assures perfection in workmanship and playability........Jeez, this cue is "Ex Calibur" as far as I'm concerned.
