I rest my case

;) Whitten for everyday use. However I have a 40+ year old Centennial, a 30+ year old McDermott (aluminum shell wrapped in leather with wood ends), a 30 something year old Adams, and a 15+ year old It's George that all deserve honorable mentions as they are all in pristine condition :)
 
Got a couple of 2x4 JJ's which are the nuts but they aren't as utilitarian as my 3x5 tooled in-stroke,but, the in-stroke is boring. Just got a 2x4 hair on cow SWIFT and I think I like it but TIME WILL TELL.

If I'm staying in the area I take a JJ and if leaving town I throw a SP into a real classy el cheapo......

Picked up a MURNAK 1 x 2 (blk cherry) and based on the materials and workmanship being indictitive of his larger cases I've got to get one. Prolly the vintage...

I can see why some swear by WHITTENS but after considerable exposure they don't ring my bell.

My Ranking:

JJ--real cool
SWIFT--I think I like it
IN-STROKE--does what its supposed to and the new, improved "diamond" top latch design is holding up
WHITTEN--others love em
MURNAK--Gonna get one soon....could be WAY good
 
The brown & orange is my well worn Whitten...I've used it for the last 10 yrs. The blk one was my first Whitten. Never a problem with any Whitten. :)

porrper case i use 2/4 is favorite of mine
lite and easy to carry and last long
 
What about

Talisman cases I have one and love it I've had it for about 2 years and it's been great, it's lite and just a solid case.
 
Jack Justis is the man..... and I like Dan Whitten cases.

For a traveling case for a dozen or more cues Dan Deshaw is the man.Danbuilt cases.
 
I have had 3 George cases in 15 years, and I just can't bring myself to retire my current one. It's still in great shape with a lot of sentimental value, so I have been thinking of putting it up on the wall. I'm just waiting for one of the big makmers to put out a "retro" line of cases....hint!

I didn't vote in your poll because you didn't list John Barton Customs. IMO, they are the best built, most beautiful cases... and they offer the highest degree of protection for your cues. IOW, they have it all.
