I rack balls

It is 4:29 in the morning and you are going to go play pool. What is the most amount of practice you have put in in one day? Just curious, maybe some of you won't make me feel so insane about this game we play.

.....when you practice in between bites during lunch break.

Edwin<<<trying to sneak-in another hour of practice a day back in his APA days.

When you get home late from work your wife is waiting on you in a sexy nighty....instead of noticing what she is wearing go and play pool instead. :D

You watch all the billiard shows you see on TV. Get on a table after a trick shot show and masse ALLLLLL DAY. LOL I need a new tip.

When you get off a 18 hour day of work to go shoot pool for another 12. Then you go to bed for 6 hours and wake up and back at it again.

When you're so tired and exhausted from shooting you literally just sleep on the table you've been playing on, with the balls in the same position they were when you finally wake up. Just cause the hall owner loves ya :D

Carom, Billiard, and Combo are the kids names right? Reminds me of killer instinct.

Me : "Hey babe you look like you're pregnant again!!!"

her : "what are we gonna name him?"

Me : "COMBO BREAKER HIGH RUN!"

When I first started to show some improvement, it was at a time that I was spending at least 7 hours a day, 5 or more days a week playing or practicing. However, sometimes during a match I'd run across a situation where I was faced with options that I weren't sure of and often made the bad choice when it came to shot selection. Then on the drive home, the answer would pop up in my mind of how I should have or could have played the shot, so I'd have to make the U-turn back to the club just to work out that situation. I finally put a table in my house, and instead of having to make the U-turn, I'd go home, go to bed, and wake up in the middle of the night with a sudden brain storm of correcting mistakes made hours earlier at the club. I've been caught more than once at around 3 in the morning knocking balls around in my underwear.

...I hot celebrity bends down to take a shot in a movie, and even though the camera is centered on her chest, you notice instead that she should tighten up her bridge and choke up on her cue a bit.

(been there done that... got crazy looks too)

ALSO... I know I'M addicted to pool because when I'm bored at work and I'm feining for a game, I go to PoolComps.com and break a couple racks on the practice table, screencapping each one before I shoot one ball in. then I print it out and write down next to the games how I would run the rack i.e. (1 ball corner, Med. hit, 5oclock)...

endless hours of enjoyment!

It's official. You're addicted. Really badly addicted.

I used to play at the community center every day until it closed. That was back before I was married... If I had the choice, I would play every day for 15-18 hours. I can eat and drink pool. Now that I'm married I play twice a week for maybe 3 hours at a time... which is better than nothing I guess.

We have to put up a bigger fight than when we were skateboarders, Zack. We just gotta!

You catch yourself practicing your closed and open bridge on your office desk. When you use weight terms in a conversation like, "My girl can give your girl the 8 and the breaks in cooking." -ARM

When you are breaking the balls in a tourney or a money game and in your head you hear..." C'mon Vincent, on the snap...."

Since rehab (service, business, women), I'm not really "addicted" anymore, just a lifelong habit.

But when I first started playing, many of my weekend routines went something like this: Maybe 1:00 PM til 11:00 PM John's pool room. 11:00 PM til 3:00 AM Julian's. 3:00 AM til 7:00 Ames or 7-11.

Thank God for effective "rehab": "I cudda been sumbody, I cudda been a contender."

Now that you bring up things popping up in people's head when they play...

...when I get really into the game I start to hum the tune 30 Minutes by Tatu because it was in that Color of Money video on youTube that had Efren and Earl making the most amazing shots. All it takes is a little inspiration...
