i dont think so. its hard to put an inlay in light wood like that and have it come out great. looks wise not skill wise. JMO
 
That looks like it's going to be really nice. It'll pop nicely with finish.

If you put inlays in beautiful wood like that you should be slapped!

Leave it as is, because that wood is nicer than any inlay you can put in it!
 
Yep, fantastic veneers and points. I could see this with no inlays, ebony butt sleeve with windows of the point wood(looks something like buckeye burl or a spalted wood) with matching veneers around window stitched runde era schon ringwork of the point wood at d & e. Just black phenolic collars with full ivory joint and gold 3/8x10 or Radial pin. Man that would be a masterpiece.

thx a lot guys, yeah, pete ohman makes here a great job.

i will never inlays in that forearm, but in the ebony butt sleeve comes 3 x veneer boxes in spalted maple and maybe a couple very classic inlays between the boxes.

i think that cue looks great with a black el-ear or a black lizard wrap, but i will have a spalted maple handle, but pete will not make 3 segments for ring F + G in the handle, i think i'm trust him and his experience.

next we discuss the rings, i think stitch rings with ivory and the veneers are great.

Why not inlay the ebony above the wrap,i am doing a couple of cues like that,and some nice ebony below the wrap to place some matching doodads
