ok guys,

your buddy comes up to you and asks " what cue should i buy ? "

Criteria being:

1 It is not a "production" cue
2 You CAN get it within 12 months
3 It is under $2,500.-
4 You have tried more than 6 cues yourself

what would you suggest ?

let's have a top 3 suggestion list ...


Mine would be ( in no particular order )

Mike Cochran
Cash Cues
Gina Cue
 
under $2500 is a LARGE range...lol. Personally I would find one for MUCH less than $2500. I'm assuming it's a cue that I'm gonna play, and not an investmest that I hope to hang on to for a few years hoping that it doubles in price. Besides, I can't see myself PLAYING with a cue that cost over a grand....

I like the hit of a G10 pinned Diveney personally, and I'm sure there are plenty of others out there that feel at least similiar to that that could be had for under a grand. Since I haven't had the opportunity to hit LOTS of cues, I'll just go with one of Pat's. :cool:
 
Kam doesn't believe in Virgins Cue-wise. :wink:

He plays with all his cues.

I'll put my 3 out... Cochran, Zinzola and Ca$h.

ps. i dont think i have tried 6 Ginas though :p
 
I send people to Bernie Mikkelson, he builds tremendously great hitting cues with his Extreme 2 and Extreme 3 shafts. I have hit with alot of cues and have found none that hit the ball better.

Here's what I would suggest:

1) Try to find a Searing bar cue conversion
2) South West
3) Carmeli Shop Vintage Valley conversion

All of these guys complete a cue ON TIME, all do FLAWLESS work, and they all stand behind their cues - I've never heard a bad piece of press about any of them.
