In defense I have another table that I use but it is still a sin to have let this table become so neglected. I sold the condo and a lot stuff got moved into this house and one thing led to another, you know how it is. Going to be moving soon anyway so may give this table to the nephew. The room you are looking at is 24 x 26 x 40, it is L shaped. We had a few good pool parties there. A number of players you would recognize have played of that table including some celebs.

It is still a shame when I walk in there. Kind of like the treadmill that becomes a clothes hanger and never used. That table by the way was never in a pool room like most GC's you find. It came from a private owner and pristine when I bought it. The stuff you see on the corner casting is not corrosion or rust. It is some kind of dust residue from an old leather jacket you can see to the right. The table is still really nice.

You know, I don't know what prompted me to write this because it actually makes me look like a neglectful fool. I am glad I did though because the decision was already made to give the table away. I am thinking now, I have had that table over 40 years and I am not so happy I want to part with it. In the time it took me to write this I have changed my mind. That table is going with me.

$hit happens, sometimes it just gets away from you. In the last year my wife and I have started with the kids”take what you want”. Then the nieces and nephews, then anyone. Then filled a dumpster. It’s a big house and we’ve been here since 86. This summer, round two.😂

Garage sale is A LOT of work. Like, multiply the worst you can possibly imagine by AT LEAST 2. To be honest, that picture isn't remotely worth the trouble. Give it all away, then reward yourself for saving two days of your life by spending an entire day doing whatever you want. If that's a battery charger on the floor you've got something there.

Time to get organized.

It's so easy to let things get like that when you're working your ass off raising a family and you don't move for many years. My last move was six years ago. I gave away and donated most of my stuff and bought all new furnishings for my new house. Even with all of that, we filled two 26' vans. I rented a storage locker and organized my garage. I could not ever go back to a cluttered garage, drives me nuts.

I was kidding about the garage sale I hate garage sales. What we'll do is first throw things away, second give things away and then decide what has the value enough to sell. I honestly don't wish to own much of anything anymore.

I have a lot of stuff but I'm not really a collector of anything. I'm just kind of an opportunist who will buy something if I think it's a good buy.

I have two Balabushka's that I'm going to sell and I've got a couple of numbers of people who wanted first refusal when I finally got ready to sell them.

Some guns a lot of tools, those are almost always easy to sell. That thing that looks like a battery charger is an oxygen concentrator. And if I took a picture in the other direction there's 12 full bottles of oxygen.

My wife used to be a caregiver and she would always bring this stuff to the people because most couldn't afford it. That I'm just going to give it all away.

The truth is most of what you've got around your house that you've had for years that you don't necessarily think is valuable but they're your possessions, if you died tomorrow a relative would throw it all in a dumpster.

I’m glad you’re keeping it...where you gonna find an old GC that’s never been used commercially?
.....I sold one for $5,000 like that back in the 90s.

When both of my parents died about a decade ago, my brother and I went to Mom and Dads house to clean it out after it was sold.
We packed up all of the pictures, trinkets, various kitchen things, valuables and personals;
We left abut 1/2 of the furniture, including piano and pool table,
And we threw out more than 150 large bags of garbage,
over a 2 day period.
The movers arrived and packed a medium sized moving truck on day 3.
The soon to be owners were very pleased.

Under Mom and Dads bathroom sink was a wicker basket with 50-100 tooth brushes spanning over 60 years all unused in their original packaging.

Please, don't do this to your children...........

I think moving with furniture can be not worth it. Worse is paying to put it in storage. Before you know it you have spent more then it's worth.

too many snacks is why you can't make it around! I use a Segway for 9 footers and an Uber for snooker tables

Yes you need to have a yard sale right away and get to practicing again on that Gold Crown.
