This may not be news to some.
But last night my wife went out and i was left alone with the dog and some Bourbon (possible recipe for disaster)so I was going to watch a movie on Net flicks thru the Wii.
I realized I could get You Tube. So I logged on and watched a few pool matches.
What a difference it is on a big flat screen TV.
Now I'm thinking about uploading a few videos of my self so I can watch a true master cueist on the big screen

In my pool room I have a 40" led 1080p TV on the wall. I then use a HDMI cable from my laptop to the tv and view online content that way. This way, I can play while I watch online matches and content. Works a charm. I captured this to share with TvMike as he was streaming. The room is not finished as of yet but soon to be completed.

I watch all of my streaming pool on a large flat screen... Makes a big difference.

Easy and inexpensive to hook up

Why bother uploading videos, just play it right off whatever you recorded it on.

I watch on a big screen via youtube on Apple TV.

The only downside is that the Apple TV version of youtube doesn't have as easy a search and bookmark system as a web browser does.

Another vote for

APPLE TV! It's amazing, the streaming quality and navigation is fantastic.

A somewhat less expensive solution... if you own a laptop made in the past few years,
they usually have an HDMI out slot.

Plug a basic HDMI cable into it, connect the other end to the TV, then look for one of your F1-F12 keys with a screen on it. Pressing it will output your screen to the TV (your whole desktop not just youtube). Usually you press F4 or F5. Sometimes Fn+F4 or Fn+F5. Remember to switch the TV's input from the cable box or whatever to HDMI.

Pretty enjoyable way to watch, and some youtube videos are in nice high def too.
Now that TAR is streaming at higher quality, try your next TAR match on the big screen.

I use an old laptop hooked-up to my TV via an HDMI cable. I actually keep hours of downloaded pool videos (lots of tools available to grab vids from video sites) on an external hard-drive and just keep it with me so I can take the matches anywhere. I watch pool at home on my TV, my laptop, my desktop... At work, at the pool hall, etc...

One setup that I found sucks is YouTube on the PS3. PS3 lets you watch YoutTube vids, but not other sites (e.g.: Youku, Ustream). However, it only allows you to watch the YouTube videos at a fairly low resolution (low-def). Eventually that will change as more vids are made available at higher quality by default, but most of the older vids look horrible (some of that is not YouTube's fault, on some vids the original video quality sucked eggs).
