Hopkins just beat Stepanov to advance to the top 16 on the winners side of the world 14.1. Just thought I'd say since no one reports his wins on AZB homepage - like they do with 15 other guys who have never even won a world championship. Not bad for an old-fart who no one gives a chance to win anymore, even though he's ran a few 90's already. I wish I could "poke-stroke" 90's.:p

Right on. Go Hopkins! It's a shame that it is not relevant to report about the AMERICAN champions in 14.1, you know, the 14.1 champions that have world record titles to prove it, the ones whose pictures were in every pool newspaper and pool magazine for DECADES because of their 14.1 strengths. Maybe it's a new era. American 14.1 champions playing excellent should be newsworthy, IMHO, as well as the rest of them.
