Your best playing cues

Ummm, I would have to say a 4 point Jim Buss I used to own was the best cue I ever played with. Scruggs cue played pretty good, SW cues hit very well themselves. I got stuck on my playing cue for the moment. I love it in every way. Looks and playablility are great. You guys might like it. It's the one on the top. Ebony with spalted maple. Bottom one is Bacote but I already sold that one. Oh I know the taper looks long but when you hit a ball with it you would never guess it.

best player'z

Dennis Searing, John Showman, and Andy Gilbert, Dennis and John's SS piloted and Andy's wood/wood , simply the best!!!!!!!

As far as my currently playing cues are concerned, the Nitti and South West play great! The SW is very solid and gets lots of action, while the Nittis just feel ultra-smooth (and still pretty solid) and have awesome feedback.

And as far as other cues I've tried, I thought very highly of Mike Capone and Andy Gilbert, as well. And Ned Morris's cues are pretty good, too -- but they don't "blow me away."

IM BACK<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<everyone knowa my answer,,,,,,,,,,Szamboti. only cues ive ever owned that played alike were the two Barry made me. next in line, that old Gus, its real close

I had 2 Herceks neither one really blew me away but the craftsmanship was perfect. I do have one ordered maybe I'll like it better when I get my exact specs.

That's because you're a cue snob!

Dufferin House Cue, dead straight, 19 oz., le-pro tip. If I can find a "good" (and I haven't in years off the wall) house cue, I'd rather play with that than anything. When I was a kid I put burn marks in all of the good ones at my pool room (before I could afford to buy my first cue which was a ...."sneaky pete" -shocker!). I've played my best pool with a house cue. Go figure.

Best "looking" cues, to me? Anything made by one of the Szambotis.

:) :) :) Mine:) :) :) - but right now I am shooting with the wife's cue, since I can't seem to keep anything I make;)

The Gus Szamboti was great but someone else has it now:(

My Skip Weston and Tad have to be the best players
Cues I did not own but instantly ran a rack or two with are Jerry Olivier and an Ed Prewitt

Since I only have one playing cue right now, but I still think it has the best hit for a cue that I have found, which is my Gilbert JB.

The nice thing, is I have used other Gilbert's and they all have the same hit/play-ablility too.

If I ever had the chance, I'd love to try out a Boti cue :) just to see how it plays

It also might be one of those "Sugertree Cue". Prettysad state of affairs when the dealer doesn't even get one to keep for himself. Got to honor the list:D

I attempted to compile the respones here but its impossiable with so many listing more than one. He asked for your best hitting cue. Many of us own more than one maker but what one would you use, I know it maybe a toss up on some but nail it down to 1.

My favorite playing cue is an Olivier. I'm not really into most of his designs and I really dislike "model #" cues, but all of his cues that I have tried play to my liking. Other favorites are:

Ron Haley
Mike Capone
Danny Tibbitts
Southwest
Bill Schick

You do not like Kikels anymore?

cues

My best players were an ivory jointed Mottey,a ss jointed Scruggs and a ss Barry Szamboti.....Or did they play so great because I was playing 30 hrs a week?
