Your longest layoff?

I'm probably in the 20 year area. Now I play every chance I get. Been
back at it for probably 15 years now.

from 1992 until 2008 i didn't pick up a cue, then in 2008 it was every day! tried to get as good as i was then but at this old age i have come to realize it ain't gonna happen..i just got some glasses 3 weeks ago, what a difference ( i swear i think even the color of the balls is better)..but i still try and do my drills etc....just a love for the game!

Started at age 13-20 stopped for 5 1/2

Came back started on the tour at age 26- till 2002

Retired from WPBA haven't played a race to 9 since.

Love to teach now, but shooting just hasn't grabbed me back.

Its been 11 years, and still no desire...I wonder sometimes if the $$$

would of been right if it still would have been fun.

No regrets...would have done it all over again!

I love the players/students...even if they live in retirement homes and are in their 90's

I layed off from about 1991 until 2001 so 10 years first time , then from 2003 until 2012 so about 9 years second time. between working overseas and life in general I lost the passion to play that i had when i was young , but picked it up again last year and it was like coming home

a month? I hope to avoid any lengthy vacation from pool. If my life becomes so hectic that I can't play then I'm gonna really curse my luck.

I too quit for about 25 years. I was busy being a Dad &an engineer for BOEING. 2 years after retiring, I went to a Moose Club & they had a Pool Tournament. The bug re-emerged.

I quit in 1983, that's when I graduated high school and parents moved, (kinda funny I guess, they packed their bags before I did I guess) I did not play seriously, we grew up with a table in the basement, it was the neighborhood hang out. I was asked to sub on a friends team in November 2011, joined the team permanently then, now I cant play enough. Ironically, I got my childhood table back right away, it was still in the family. I found out what a p.o.s. it was, started looking for a better table and found a Gold Crown 6 weeks later and burned the childhood table. I am in the basement almost every nite playing now, except during league nites and tournaments.

A little over five years. I stopped to spend more time at my two son's sporting events.

I'd do it all over again.

1996-1999 I worked alot and didnt play. I always knew id be back to playing eventually. Just had to get myself financially centered and pool was not part of that equation.
