Ok so this is purely hypothetical of course. But suppose hypothetically there are only 6 tables in the pool hall on league night and all of them are taken. It's double jeapordy (where your team plays 8 ball and 9 ball the same day on 2 tables at once) and you dont get to play 9 ball that day but only 8 ball. Before you're put up to play theres a guy whos talking sh*t about you and how hes going to destroy you etc. etc. and then you go ahead and play him.

Now hypothetically you dont want to just win all the games needed because then theres no place to practice again since all the tables will be taken. So you just play shape on the 8 and make it early a couple of times.

Would you hypothetically lose a few games on purpose by knocking in the 8 ball so you could play a little longer?

I know technically in this hypothetical situation that would be considered sandbagging but has anyone ever did this? :D

Hypothetically he was pissed off and left.

Defensive shots/safties aside, I have never purposely missed a ball, period. For any reason. Geez, I have a tough enough time MAKING balls to ever wanna miss one  ! I lose a little respect for people in my poolhall/bar when I know they are sandbagging. What I am trying to say is that I always try my darndest to win.

Brian Brian this didnt really happen. This is a hypothetical situation my friend! ;)

If you are that good why would you worry about practice time? Finish the game and beat the bum big time. Don't give him the satisfaction of staying in the game. A bad break could end up costing you the match.
