    Slate question

Wood cross members are going way back. Aluminum is more structurally sound and was an upgrade to the problems with wood. Most guy's don't check the tightness of the bolts because they can't see them.

    Favorite cloth color

Tournament green. Pool originally started out as the indoor (winter) version of Golf. Hence the turf color. Bonus question, if the cloth is green why is the chalk blue?

    Old cushions

Good catch, I did mean brake fluid. We'll just call that "having a Biden moment".

    Old cushions

I've often wondered how some cushions from the same manufacturer can last decades and others don't last five years before turning hard and brittle. I suspect it comes down to whoever mixed the rubber that day. Opinions? As a rail rubber ages from time and flexing when a ball hits it they begin...

    Pulling Staples

This is the best puller I've found. It says C S Osborne & CO on it. What do you use? Here's some rails that was on a table I bought. Look at all these staples! Pulling staples is the worst part of the job for me. And people scoff at the glue down method. Pfffff I use less staples on the whole...

    ProLine Cloth

I opened up an account with them. I got it for less than $100 there too. Thanks for the replies. Duct tape comes loose too. Months later I'll see tape hanging down. I've tried Gorilla tape, same thing. I've found it best to go heavy on the spray glue on the flap and underneath the table.

    Valley ball return problems.

What King said. Also, older Valley's used a foam type mat in the ball dump that would eventually get divots in it and keep some balls from dumping. The fix is to scrape out the old and glue down a denser rubber mat. Suppliers sell them.

    ProLine Cloth

I got it from Cuestix but they discontinued it. :( I'll probably have to go with the Championship worsted cloth for more money. You have to be a business to buy from Cuestix.

    ProLine Cloth

Pro Form Tournament Green (505-TG) Made in Mexico Anyone else used this cloth? I've only covered three tables with it and so far I like it. I can get a seven foot cloth for less than a hundred dollars. Quality control is good as I've found no defects unlike Andy which just has to many clumps...

    Valley Table pockets

Glue should not be sprayed in front of any pockets. Valley tables are designed for the glue down method.
