    Question about ball polish

I used Aramith ball cleaner for a long time. When I got a ball cleaner (BallStar), I threw out BallStar's polish and replaced the machine's chemical pad with a piece of Saxony carpet. A few squirts of Brillianize (which doesn't have any wax) on the carpet and the balls come out shiny but not...

Beautiful Patrick cue, Curleyques. Doug makes some of the best looking, best playing cues I've ever used. That's why I have four of them. Good luck with your sale.

Are Paul Sumrall cues in high demand?

I don't know what Sumrall's cues are going for, but I have three of them that I would not consider selling. Very nice looking and great players.

    Goldcown V

I guess if I want to keep up with craigslist, I should post a picture of the table. Not a great picture, but a great table. The rails were done by a top-notch technician. The pockets as the table came from Brunswick were awful. Here are the new 4-3/8" pockets (in blue) compared to the...

    best jump/break cue?

I have a Kevin Varney jump/break cue and couldn't be happier with it. Really, really easy to get the QB off the table and going in the right direction.

Trivia question about the movie::::""The Color of Money::::""

Looked up the cast and crew on IMDB. The music director of the film is Todd Kasow. Maybe it's his car. Or maybe - and I think this is a real possibility - it's Tom Cruise's car and he can't spell his last name correctly; thinks it's Kruise.

    5 x 10 tables

In the early sixties, I played a lot of snooker on ten-foot tables. Currently, my home table is a nine-foot GC V. When I replace it, I will go with a ten-foot table with 4-1/4" pockets. Best eight-ball ever.

Where Were You on 11/22/63 ?

The announcement came over the PA while I was sitting in an avionics class at NATTC Memphis. No more classes that day, and no one was allowed to leave the base for a few days. A year later I was in Viet Nam. I've often wondered how that might have turned out different in JFK was still in charge...

    Favorite Cuemaker (ONLY ONE!)

This has turned out to be a tougher question to answer than I thought it would be. Today's cue makers (most of them, anyway) produce such great playing cues that to single out one as my favorite isn't easy. (Of course, back in 1957, when I started playing as a kid, any cue that wasn't shaped...

    I HATE Bunting

You are not alone. I learned on slow tables back in the fifties and the equipment made it - in my opinion - a better game. There were a lot more artists and fewer technicians playing the game. My home table has Simonis 860, and I still enjoy the game, but if I could find enough old players, I...
