No, not surprised. Smalling facing angles seem to always make a big difference.

Do you mean the pocket facings? If so, I just tried to feel them through the cloth, and they seem to be about 3mm thick.

this is was shane says too. and making two big time finals in a year, close matches, that's not easy. another one of the older players that's stepped up imo is naoyuki oi. with biado, lee van, chang yu lung, svb, etc.. don't discount the 40+ boys

I think brass ferrules on snooker cues and ivory ferrules on pool cues are horrible.

My experience with CF is that it imparts more energy into the cue ball than wood.

I believe it does generate more spin.

I use the Mezz Ignite shaft and I have no problems with feed back issues.

Some wood shafts warp in my experience but most don't.

I drives me crazy if there are dings in a wood shaft.

The CF is super easy to maintain and it doesn't ding.

After play I just wipe down with alcohol on a paper towel.

CF is super smooth.

The Ignite shaft is not cheap.

Heat combined with humidity is gonna effect wood.

Touring pros play in air-conditioned rooms.

If you are playing in an open to the outdoor room in the PI, then I think that would be different..........

When a cue butt warps that is a sad day indeed..........
