The distant rumblings and ramblings of a pool nut.

I had to let go of about a half dozen sheets
"HEADACHE !!" was the call out for the ground man. (Er uh Person 😉). DON'T LOOK UP., find cover then find out what it was.
4X8 sheets of Plywood roof sheeting were a challenge in any wind.
"Tied off" ment wearing a harness and lanyard or retractable. I recall one job doing roof sheeting where we wore a lanyard and just let the hook drag behind. It looked legit for the safety inspector on the ground. We called it an air tie off. Of course there came a time when I was the safety man building overhead mortar protection in Iraq. The workers spoke a little English and "Tie Off!" Was so often my shouted message from the ground, that it became my nickname with the crew. 🤷‍♂️

Is it possible to throw an object ball? Nope

I’m quite aware what they mean Mr. CPG/CBL, I just find it comical
Are you aware of the typing they save? Tell you what, _ghost ball_ is comical. I use CPG CBL as a title simply because I have nothing else pool worthy to fly. How about, I Can Play Real Good If I Have A Real Good Reason. lol... or I could be the best
ever if I only had the time and facilities. I don't think either would fit anyway.

Jason Shaw claims CBL. Good enough for me. How's the betting working out for you? :p:LOL:

McDermott cues in The Color Of Money

Just for fun I thought i’d comb through the movie and see what McDermotts I could find. Everyone knows about the Joss cues, but most people don’t know that McDermott donated a bunch of cues for the movie as well. All of them are from the D series produced in 1984. Many models came in a variety of stain and wrap colors. If I missed any let me know 🍻

First up is Moselle spotted using a green stained D-6 with a green nylon wrap.

Back then I had a love hate relationship with McDermott .. i was younger and couldn't afford a really nice cue but I played a lot with a guy who had a McDermott and he beat the brakes off me all the time with that thing hahahaha
