From the realm of the strange, the odd, the bizarre...meet The Terminator!

The Jian Ying metallic cue!

A reasonable deal was made to me and I had no choice but to appease my curiosity about this cue. To be honest, it actually looks very cool in person, in a sci-fi way, feels good in the hands (love the wrap!) and, after some tinkering, it plays surprisingly well.

By tinkering, I mean that straight out of the box it hit like sh!t, with an annoying clank sound. I discovered that attaching the extension made the clank go away. I also discovered that removing the bumper & attached weight bolt made the clank go away. Unfortunately, reattaching the bumper brought the clank back, even without the weight bolt. I've decided to leave it off for now. Later I might get a lightweight 2"extension to screw on and keep the clank at bay.

I also replaced the stock carbon fiber shaft, which was warped, with a Bulletproof carbon fiber shaft, which rolls straight on this cue. That makes this thing 100% synthetic, which I feel is quite fitting.

I love this thing!

Trade deal with Truthseeker 123

I’m in the process of trading cues with @Truthseeker123 and since he’s not done any deals of trading or selling on here I’m gonna have him send to me first and then I ship. I wanted to get some references for him so he feels comfortable. My name is Donnie Bex and most all of the people on here know me from trades here or on Facebook. Thanks for any of you to help ease his mind. I couldn’t find where to put this elsewhere like we used to have I think 🤷‍♂️😂

Medium Roast vs Dark Roast ( non cored )

My experience with a Kielwood shaft, Jacoby, I only have one. The shaft, dark roast radial 30" 3.5 oz, was a little too light in balance up front for my taste. I drilled and tapped in for a short piece of 5/16"x14 pin of .3 oz to give it a slight more forward balance for my preference. My feeling is that with this combination I get the weight I want without the front end weight of a shaft that was naturally at 3.8 oz. Also I tapered it down to 12.5 mm from the 12.75 mm as received just so it matched my other shafts that I was used to.
As to whether the front end is cored or not, or does it have lower deflection than my Jacoby Ultra shafts or Rhino carbon shafts, I am not qualified enough to tell you. I will say that I shoot all three without any compensation.
I changed the tip to an Ultraskin black med like I have on my Ultra wood shafts, but changed it again to a black soft as the hit was too harsh. I am considering going softer yet to an ultraskin pro as even with the soft it is still harsh. The shaft has an incredible amount of energy transfer, even more than my carbon shafts. The shaft has a finish that feels hard and similar to a carbon shaft.
That's all I've got on my one Kielwood shaft. Your views or experiences may be different and that's fine, but these are my views on my shaft.
I also use ultraskin. The soft is softer than the pro, the pro is closer to medium. If you want softer, go with the ultraskin ivory soft, it's the bounciest of the bunch, or they have a super soft in black.
