As a teen I used to clean the tables at the pool room daily to "pay" for my pool time. Once a week the owner insisted I use soapy water(he would mix it and there wasn't much soap in it at all) on the bed cloth only. I would scrub it with a regular old handtowel soaked in the liquid. Took the tables about 4 hours to fully dry where you could play on them with the ac running. It worked really well. I would always do it first thing after lunch during a down time when nobody was playing. All the tables were Simonis 860 in the early to mid 90s. The poolroom was owned by the late Bob Ogburn. Miss him

JJ 2x4...Got this around 2000-2001...cost less than $500 I think. Looks brand new...spent most of it's life hiding in a drawer.

Personally for me, when it comes to deflection, the reference point is the Predator 314 shafts, the first LD shaft that started it all and still performs better than most “low deflection” shafts.
Anything that introduces more cue ball deflection than the 314, is not LD in my book.

I haven’t tested every shaft on the market, but from my experience, it terms of low deflection, the Predator Revo and JFlowers SMO shafts are the shafts on top.

That seems plausible, the original owner stated that he purchased in the late sixties after returning from Vietnam. I believe I read somewhere that Saul founded the company, and was followed up by Abe, maybe a father son thing? I'm not sure, but I appreciate the feedback.

Not positive but I believe the cue was made by Saul Rich.
Saul and Abe were related, maybe cousins? Both made similar looking cues.

I have a JJ tube case.... I like it a lot. Would guess they are more work than the fabric interiors.

Do you know if he going to do tube cases like early Justis cases or that soft interior Jack switched to in his latter years?

My last Justis got snagged at an unfamiliar hall and I contacted Jack to get a new one made and he wouldn’t do a tube case for me. Kinda blew my mind a bit.

Yes, I can personally confirm that the V10 that WM sells is counterfeit. I know someone who bought some. The color is a more flouresent green, and you couldn't hardly hit a shot without miscuing. I watched him throw both pieces in the trash can at the pool hall.
