While I have no interest in CF anymore than I do in jumping off a cliff, I find your innovation interesting and intriguing, more so because of you utilizing Bubinga on the bottom half. I know you pointed out it was to match the butt of the cue, but I’ve pondered the thought of what a full shaft made of bubinga would hit like?
I posed a question awhile back in the cue makers forum regarding what makers here thought of bubinga. You one of the few that responded, stating it was one of your favorite woods for the same characteristics I find interesting about that wood. Have you ever thought of an experiment of making a shaft of just bubinga?
Yes, thanks- I won't be buying one of their tables, the ball box is designed to fill the rack with balls as they enter the box- it is weird - agreed. There is another room about 25 minutes north of US1 called Yale billiards and he is installing Brunswick GC7s - probably early next year - I want to see how they play and how well they are installed. He now has some altered older GCs that play strange too IMO- pockets were tightened but seem to vary, and seems like the rails all have varying speeds, I want consistency.I
spent a couple of hours playing at US1, tables played well but the ball box is weird. Amazing Billiards has the same table in the side room but it banks really weird, kinda like an old red label. The Rasson OX tabled at Bangin Balls also play well but I’d be really leary of buying one. Good luck selling one if you decide it’s not right for you.
Perhaps, but probably not where this event is located- no way someone is going to pay out double and triple hotel rates for a pool tournament - they always seek out rates more favorable than standard. The night of lights goes on for over 2 months! This time period- this week is not even close to peak season for this event- sorry not buying that hotels are jammed this week with tourists - this is still a slower time for Florida hotels - pool tournaments in the U.S. are not going to be held in hotels at peak season rates- end of story.I don't know about that.... St Augustine started Nights of Lights 1 week early this year- Saturday November 15th -yesturday--- Hotel prices tend to double and triple in these parts.
