I'll be happy to match up brain cells with just about anybody. I'm a McDermott guy from way back, but my recent Predator acquisition is a magnificent cue as well. The Predator pros, Biado, Filler, Jasmin, et al, they do pretty well.

Why so much snarky hate for a company that puts so much into the game? Because they are so successful? You can make fun of the logos, the pricing strategy, the marketing, whatever, but Predator is good for pool.
Do they put so much into the game, or do they manipulate the game into a specific direction and put in enough to ensure that happens? (guess any money is good money given the state of the game currently, I cannot disagree there tbh). I can't fault the sales strategy, but that's what it is. They aren't revolutionizing anything, and they fund their own future by 'caring' for the game. Honestly, I tend to dislike anything that removes freedom of expression from the things I enjoy...

I also cannot tolerate the fanboys/girls who hoover up nonsense tech jargon, and then vomit it all over anyone who will listen..

"MiNe iS bEtTeR tHaN yOuRs... because it's got low-defelection, super ionized mega-carbon, and an expensive upgraded mega titanium extension and a bala bala bala bala bala... Also, the player that wins a lot says it's the best thing since sliced bread and he wouldn't win if he didn't use this exact brand and it has nothing to do with the dollars they're paid to use it"

Let my coffee kick in, and I will stop being so bitter lol - I do highly rate the Air Rush as I have mentioned previously on a few occasions - though now some competitors are going toe for toe in a similar price bracket. Some just under. All other products are simply 'meh' - BKRush could be a tenth of the price in all honesty, and there is product for a tenth of the price that will do the same thing.

Rasson Wolf

The hall I play at is always working to develop their game. They have just renovated another store (the one they host domestic/local tournaments at), which means all three of their halls are renovated within the last year. It is about halve the size of the one I often play at, but it is awesome nonetheless.

10 x Rasson Wolf tables, 5 x Accura, They have kept the OX as a TV table. Moved the Chinese tables to another part of the store which makes it feel much more open and modern, and provides a seating area for people to watch (which was a bit of a problem before). All the tables have cameras, and the TV table has a vertical camera, and two table length views. All tables are 4" in this hall (as opposed to my local, which is 20 4" and about 15 4.5" Rasson Accura tables)

The Rasson Wolf is a fine looking table, plays just as well as any of their other product. There's not a lot separating the tables beyond aesthetics in all honesty. I think the OX has slightly less curve on the rails than the Accura and Wolf, which is noticeable to me when bridging (you can kind of see that curve in the picture here). But then that is splitting hairs. It's funny listening to people talk about how table models differ, all without actually acknowledging that pretty much every table in existence will play slightly different, even from the same model. I do really like how this table looks, and the built quality is tops.

Whilst they're newly installed with fresh cloth I will hit a few balls here, but then once the freshness has worn off, I will save myself the 30 minutes car ride and stick to the usual store. One cool feature the hall has installed, is magnetic points for attaching chalk. I just like the idea. One by the cue holsters/racks where you sit, and another on the wall. I actually wish Rasson would put a magnet in the rails as they do on some of their Chinese tables, as then chalk is going nowhere.

Pro Cut Pockets

It will rattle on tables with pockets cut too wide. It will rattle on most Olhausen tables with stock cut pockets.
Ok. Redo.
This^^^ got changed from steep to wide.

Just to clarify, the more towards obtuse the facing, the smaller the "make" target is. Generally, anything less than an obtuse ball entry into the facing will bounce into the other facing and at speed will send the ball into a standing wave.

Grazing the rail on the way in can work to a degree by generating running spin that becomes reverse spin at the facing. This has at least two pertinent effects. The reverse spin will diminish the ball momentum, slowing the ball into drop speed and should the ball make it to the second facing, any residual spin will now be running spin. ie into the abyss spin...
If the shot is carrying too much speed and spin, it can enter the "standing wave" zone and rattle infinitely... :p

Diamond (hallowed ground evidently) has did the matt to make sure you can slam it down the rail. :ROFLMAO:

Pro Cut:
Marketing.

You talk to this audience about anything pool related, and you will feel your own brain cells committing suicide...
