Chalk Habits and A Doozy of an AccuStats

I agree that most of the sales are for that reason. I've had a home table many times over the years, and they stay much cleaner with the Taom.

Yep, that's why I use it. It doesn't do anything magical to my tip or the cueball action, but it makes SO much less mess. Don't have to clean the balls or vacuum the table nearly as often.

Best 1Pocket Player of the 80's - 90's

if the tip is delivered on-line and with proper speed what difference does it make how it looks? i've seen a LOT of 'pretty boy stroke' players come and go that couldn't play in crunch time. Allen was self-taught(got help from some greats as well) and could run 100 by the time he was 12-13yrs old. I'll take ugly and effective every time.

lee van corteza has a poke stroke too. works for him.

Alex’s email says “100% of proceeds will go

If you want another way to contribute directly, let me know and I can put you I touch with Alex’s guys that are running this.
I think a direct contribution would be used.

I don't want any of the prizes, even to sell, and would rather leave those to folks that would appreciate them.

Need some help

I just received my new Mid-American pool cue lathe. I set it up and was cutting the tip off of an old house cue to practice. Two issues. First the cutting tool is wanting to back off a little from the tip unless I hold the wheel that moves it forwards and backwards. Second it is leaving a small tit in the center of the tip instead of cutting clean. I watched a bunch of videos before receiving this and I seem to remember one of them mentioning something about this tit but I can't find it now.

I appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks.
The tit means you need to adjust the height. There also is a set screw on the back of the carriage. You tighten it down while taking facing cuts. There's several videos on youtube that show it in operation.

Honestly I would contact Mid-American, they should be able to help/point you in the right direction.

Cuemakersguild on youtube has some videos that shows most processes. That said there are many different methods that cuemakers use so don't hold any of it as gospel. Look around and research.

leather wrap labor time?

My cue repair guy just put a leather wrap that I supplied on my cue.
He had to remove the linen and replace with leather for a very reasonable $50.
My question is he said it takes him 4 hours to do the job, is this about right?
Can't beat the price.
4 hrs??? What, is he taking 3 half hr coffee breaks, surfing his phone, going in for a colonoscopy during the change over?
how many cue repair guys drive a late model Corvette?
Wouldn't own one. More of an F350 dually kinda guy myself! ;)

Arizona Open 2026, Yuma, August 13-16

3.5 hr from my house east of Phoenix to Los Algodones, Mexico. Hop on I8 and it takes right to the exit where the casino and road to Mexico is. Been doing our dental work there for over 15 years, Anyone interested pm me and I'll give my dentist name and place. He is one of the best. $1400 complete for an implant and Zirconia crown. If you don't have dental insurance you'll pay 4 to 5 times that in the states. You park on the American side and it's just a short walk across to the dental places.
Glasses and pharmacy meds are all around also. Cheaper than anywhere in the states for the exact same meds you get here. Liquor used to be cheaper but not much any more.
Yuma is an International airport and they have shuttles running all the time to the casino and/or Mexico.

As far as the casino....stayed there many times as Mexico is just a few miles down the road from. It's an older place. Needs upgraded. Nothing fancy for sure. Clean tho and they have a nice swimming pool. ;)
If I was going to be around I'd stop in and check out the tourney. Unfortunately I'll be out of town that time.

Is there a direct-contribute link, anybody know?
