What is a cue’s “hit”?

I love a cue that pings when I hit it. I started gravitating to medium tips, I have been playing with Tiger Everest tips for quite awhile now. I like them best when they are beyond half worn, there is a big difference between a new one and a worn one, maybe because I usually break with my player, they definitely harden up after use.
I find this interesting as I recently bought a Canadian maple shaft with an advertised Tiger Everest medium tip. The hit from that shaft was way too hard for my liking - I had a soft Ultraskin put on it and for me the shaft is now very playable.
The Everest tip was new - but it was not a mediium hit in any respect. I have settled firmly in the not so firm hit of Ultraskin sorts.

Cue shaft playability differences

BTW, the seller of the wood racks wasn’t bothered by my post, the Mods weren’t concerned, the post was a compliment about the item’s appearance and quality but because it came from me, you have a clear recollection.

I almost get the feeling I have a Az stalker that has a crush on me but is too blind to see it. There’s been a lot of TV shows that used this as a theme for an episode and the stalker always get the short end of the stick in the end.

Start a poll……I’ll abide by it…….I can stop visiting the Forum……..if I annoy folks, I’ll just go away but I am not going to change whom I am, what I believe or what I post. Nonetheless, I will concede that presentation always matters.
