What's your favorite pool memory from 2025?

You could chide me all you want.. personally I think gambling is dumb and I’d just ignore you. Lol
That's what is wrong with pool.
To you Trob, that’s the interesting thing in life, it’s all about perspective. You think gambling is dumb, you’re entitled to your opinions.

I have an opinions too. I look at people who buy multiple cues, $400+ CF shafts, $20+ chalks, gloves, cases, garish plastic shirts to play in a league on bar boxes and call themselves “pool players”, and I think that’s dumb. I mean, I never heard of those playing miniature golf calling themselves golfers. Or those that go to go cart tracks calling themselves nascar or formula one drivers. Why? Because they’re not. You see it’s all about perspective.

And to you Tennessee Joe, you’re entitled to your opinion as well. What I’ve written above here regarding bar box players thinking they’re pool players, this is what’s wrong with pool. It’s why Americans are the laughingstock of the professional pool world, a nation that once turned out the finest players in the game and now are an afterthought, because of their affinity for bar boxes over pool tables. I know this isn’t a popular opinion here at AZB, the lair of the “league players”, yet it doesn’t make it any less true. Have a great day gentlemen.

New Years Resolution

Can anyone explain the physics or reasons a certain type of table inherently yields consistently un-runnable layouts? Explain it to me as if I’m as dumb as I actually am.
I was joking above - as far as I know there's nothing inherent in the design or construction of a Gold Crown IV that would not yield a "runnable spread" - absent a video I doubt anyone could analyze the claimed issue, if it's real. I'd bet any amount of someone else's money if there is some real issue with breaking it's down to technique of the player and nothing else.

Edit: seeing the post that just came in, I'm talking about the OP's claimed issue which is that his table apparently refused to allow the balls to spread after breaking into any pattern that would allow a runout - seems a little silly.

Variables changing break conditions or affecting pocketing a ball or certain ball on a break? Sure.

Could be something as simple as humidity.

I went into a room and broke and ran the first 5 racks, of course this was right after the doors opened around lunch time.

They turned on the heat and the stove/cook top right away and by the 6th rack the humidity/temp changed to where I didn't make another ball on the break for hrs even with changing speed, location, etc, I tried everything and couldn't make a ball on the break

Keno board plans

This movie is pretty enjoyable. As a warning to the pearl clutchers, it's a movie about gambling on Keno pool. 😱

It's on tubi for free, free on Amazon if you have prime and cheap elsewhere. It's a pretty good flick, a bit corny but in a good way.
She's not hard on the eyes either
