Gold Crown 1 rehab. Lots of questions...

Seems a fair bet that the same person leveled the slate, can probably imagine how that turned out. From the looks of things the same guy set up the pockets too....

The repair work on the rails is coming along pretty good, got the Maple veneer on the first piece last night. Now to find a stain color I likeView attachment 835466
How thick was that veneer you used on the rails and where did you source it from? Looking at doing mine and might have some questions for you as you definitely know what you are doing as obvious in the pictures. Thanks

New Room in San Francisco's Mission district called 'The Hall'

Sierra Billiards & Bar is a huge hit. There’s a waiting list for tables and often just to get in the doors Fri & Sat night.
It has the largest assortment of top brand liquors anywhere I’ve seen including the Beverly Hilton Hotel in LA. It is a sight to behold and 1/2 of the pool room is 7’ Diamond pool tables and the othe 1/2 is 9’ Diamind pool tables.

The room opened in April 2023 and has done so well that a 2nd location in Fresno is scheduled to open April 2026.
The owners have found a successful recipe that works. I was the first person to sign up for membership and I am so
glad I did. It is an upscale pool room that is as good as it gets for pool table equipment & friendly owners and staff.

If you are ever in Fresno, you really should visit Sierra Billiards. If you ever wanted to find me, ask the staff for Matt.

Who are the Best Female Bankers?

9ball and 10ball are main games played today with 8ball making a bit of a comeback. on modern pro table with 4inch pockets players today are less aggressive and play more defense, so they practice less banks. Usually you'll see a bank shot if it's really easy or played like a two way shots with safety in mind.
The jump cue also took a way some of the banking and kicking abilities from most players.
Different tables under different conditions of cloth and humidity will bank differently, it is a low percentage shot in a tournament condition away from your home/practice table, it is simply smarter not to bank and play safe in most situations.
