My break cue test (new tech vs old tech) is over and it's old tech for me...mostly.

I jumped on board the hype train for carbon fiber break technology, albeit with a Podayude cue from Amazon. After replacing the tip with a Kamui Sai, I found it to be a pretty solid performer. However, I have this antique Adam cue (had it for over 40 years) that just wasn't getting any love anymore. I took it out recently and played a few games with it. It took me back with that solid, old school hit it has and that got me thinking - how would that hit perform in a break cue role?

I initially was thinking of mating modern carbon fiber tech to it, but instead I went with an old fashioned maple break shaft and only gave a nod to modern with a Bulletproof break tip on it. I am loving it!

This combo of old & new functions beautifully, with great energy, a deep solid hit and plenty of confidence-inspiring control. You can finesse with this or try to make the rack explode and it's quite alright with either.

I'm mighty impressed with the Bulletproof tip! I also had a Bulletproof carbon fiber shaft arrive today with their Recoil medium tip (red one) and I'm loving that, as well. That's a potential review for another time.

Great dealings with Kenney Tran

I recently purchased a high end cue from Kenney Tran. A Tascarella to be exact. The transaction was smooth and he was very quick to communicate. Actually the most responsive seller I’ve dealt with. Cue was packaged nicely. I would recommend him to anyone, buy here with confidence. I hope to do business with him again someday soon.
Thank you Gilbert.
It was an awesome experience of selling ya the cue as well. Great communicating and good feed back. I hope she will bring you many and many trophies and prizes in the near future.
