Also, with the custom cue market there is always the discussion of price. I'm quite surprised to see noticeable markdowns on new Carmeli cues recently but similar builds from Jim Pierce, Barnhart and others seem to be going up, plus Mike Stacey cues seem to be selling at their "normally low" great prices for what you are getting. I have 2 Carmeli 6 points plus one Pierce 6 point and all of them play great.

Curious what else people have noticed for custom cue price fluctuations???

it is a 5 minute job (provided they have all the mateials...which they should, unless a random tip is requested)

I get the frustration but that could have hurt somebody.

Fargo rating will definitely be correlated with 1p success. But 1p is a different enough game from 10b/9b/8b which probably constitutes well over 90% of the games in FR, that FR can't be assumed to be as accurate as it is for those other games.

Guys like Chohan, Lunda, and Hall demonstrate this perfectly. Who would take them in an open rotation game tournament? They are dead money on the international pro level...except at 1p.

Not a fan of DS...could not care how "well" it plays. Could not care less. If I had the bucks to spend (I could if wanted to) I'd buy a different makers cue. Dennis is not the answer unless it's a must have to a player.

That’s not true.

FR has been adjusting my FR, for better or worst, off a very few 1pocket events.

Zero bar or rotation events.

Try being a little more clear about what you're asking. Do you mean would you rather have a Searing built custom for you and have to wait or buy one built for someone else and have it now? I'm not sure what you're asking. I'm sure anyone would rather have something built custom for themselves if there's no downside and it's just a matter of having one that's built exactly how you want it, versus settling for someone else's vision.
