Crocs are by far the most comfortable shoe I have ever played pool in. More and more players in our area are following my lead on these.

while I was shopping today. I was walking by the shoe dept. and noticed these 'skateboarding' shoes, and thinking of this thread and how suitable they would be for playing pool.

I'm with Charlie Bond here...ECCO are stylish and VERY comfortable, for a 'dress' type shoe. I'm also with recanizegame, as I wear New Balance tennies...often for many hours at a time! Also very comfortable.

I'm with Fatboy on this one. I wear low top Chucks. Have since I was a kid. In fact, I've heard when someone was getting a line on me, they would say, "Is it the guy who wears the Chuck Taylor's?" I know they lack a little in the support department, but I think I am more comfortable in them because it's what I'm used to.Fatboy said:

That could be a new olympic sport and better than a lot of the sports that are played now in the olympics. Two sports actually, throwing and ducking.

My casual and work shoes are Red Wings. My feet never get tired. It pays to get good shoes and take care of your feet.
I finally decided to click on this to see what it was. I can honestly tell you that those Stingrays would be horrible for playing pool. They are more or less freestyle wrestling shoes. They aren't made for being on your feet for long periods of time and have no arch support. If you wore those all day for a period of time the arches in your feet would fall.
I wore wrestling shoes for three things: wrestling, practice and for a little while working out until I got tired of how much they made my feet hurt. Considering a workout lasted at most 2 hours that says a lot about whether or not these would be good shoes to wear for playing pool.
You want the most comfortable shoes you can get to play.
