everyone knows the "hot" Cali girls all came from the Midwest....duh. Check out a Cubs game on WGN sometime. It's hard for me to go to a game at Wrigley without getting whiplash, and it has nothing to do with what's going on on the field. :thumbup:

There are a lot of big gamblers over on the east side of Iowa. Head out to Miller Time in Davenport.
I have played in an AA league out here in Clinton for a couple of years. There are some very very good shots out here. There are also some overrated shots as well. I don't think you have seen all that Iowa has to offer.
I'm just curious MikeF, besides not getting any action worth your time( I'm guessing you would prefer anywhere from $100 to $1000 sets) and not finding "hot chicks" in a pool hall, what other reasons would you use as substantial evidence that "Pool in Iowa Sucks"?
Iowa isn't known for wealthy,bad pool players w/ hot wifes that come to the local pool hall to watch thier man lose money.
I'm guessing your 'experience' about pool in iowa stems from a single incident. Someone left a bad taste in your mouth? Its too bad your image of 'Pool in Iowa' is of just that.
Maybe try a different approach....
1. play in a local tourney.
2. lose to a person you shouldn't have.
3. stand up on a chair and tell the whole room that you will give them the 6 out for a grand!
oh, wait... someone has already tried that in 'Iowa' and it didn't work.
If you don't think you can stumble across the 'right' action, feel free to 'create' some. People from Iowa are very creative!
