When you get yourself back in stroke, work on pocketing the balls REALLY quickly, and I'll bring a buddy by to play some "timed" games...:p

As for the women.... had a buddy that went to U of Iowa, and the scenery wasn't bad at all (on my visits), but that's Iowa City. So, maybe it's just Des Moines...lol Hope that area picks up as well. I'm sure you'll find a way to make the best of it. Honestly, I'd be missing NC too, but in my case I'd be misssing the fantastic golf in the Carolinas...

Me and your buddy that likes the timed games is actually my buddy too. I keep meaning to call him and let him know I'm 14 hours closer but I always forget. I'll probably get him when guys try to magically trap me like I don't know my way around the pool room. Is he still in Washington or back in Peoria? Keep it a secret but if he spots me a full minute he cant win if we play 3 ball. Last time I seen him we played poker together for 14 hours straight and drank yager the entire time...he promptly got eliminated from the tourney afterwards but damn it was a good time. That kid can woof too.

Pool in Iowa also sucks because everyone is a "champion" and every road player is sooo sick and plays soooo good, gimme a break and just bet it when the game is right or close your pie hole. Not sayin go out and get robbed but show a little home town pride. Who brags when non hometown guys come through and clean a joint out? No one...except in Iowa. Hilarious. You start off by saying that pool in Iowa sucks and want to tell the whole world because no one will show any gamble and step up to play. No one will show a little home town pride. Whitey comes from a town of 62 people. Can't get any littler than that. And now the window is closed and you are in Iowa but will only gamble with my east coast crew. You should put that on a T shirt with a picture of a fish flopping back and forth on the deck of a boat.

I think I figured it out. You're woofing cuz you want a shot at my cash if and when are paths ever cross. I get that, it's pool I know how the game goes. What's funny to me is you have absolutely no idea about any of the situation. Notice how no one from where I am at right now is really disputing what was said, cuz it's true here. This isn't my hometown either sooo...but I do like the fish idea. I let my buddy Craw borrow my fishing pole and he still hasn't returned it. I'm so mad at my money I can't wait to donate it to all the world beaters. Nah I'd rather work and chill with my family and miss out on all the cash thats out there.

PS I don't even like to play that much, but just like everyone knows this person and that person that can play so do I. Hell half the people keep sayin I need to go and play already have asked me to stake them at some point. Don't ever pretend to know me, I'm definitely no sucker. Happy Trappin big feller

Sorry to disappoint you but I don't go trappin for guys that play $20 a game or $200 sets.

I was merely pointing out that your post Pool in Iowa sucks and the reason why is invalid. I think you have been proven wrong and now want to go fishing with your friends. You can get what you are looking for, as I and a few other posters have pointed out, but it seems you really don't want it.

Also, you do the research - how many posters on AZ are from where you live right now and then I will comment on why they have failed to comment yet. For all I know, there are none.

You're right buddy I am a small fry myself. I do only like to win a $100 cuz when I do that 40 times it pays for my...property tax. Thanks though...oh and by the way I'll expect for you to take a couple thousand in action on the other side of a match up I'm trying to work out, but I don't wanna air it in the knock room though. I'm broke though and will have to get a loan out or sell a house or something. For what it's worth though you seem like a good cat...don't take everything so literally and personally. I am fantastic action though and never fire air. The good thing is I know you, the bad thing is you have no clue who I am.

Sidenote...this is why so many people walk away from the game, it's not worth it! After all this it is impossible to trust action around here unless I tried to outrun a bad game, which I won't do. I'll stick to the silent backer thing, there's more cash in that. Let's not trade shots anymore though because I can't win and I know that.

Might be talking about Lee from Omaha. I know he makes it to Big Dog's with Dustin from time to time and is hands down the best 3 card Monty guy I've seen. I think my little brother paid for his rims, ha, ha. Take the first $5 he lets you win...then run;)

We have a guy in St Louis that can give Lee the 7 and the break at 3 card Monty. As his final 'move', he will let you rip the corner of the card and you still cant win. Lee is good, this guy is just better. He can also do it with three of those paper ketchup holders and a lil ball underneath them. He will show you the ball under the bottom holder and then stack two more on top it and bet you the ball is under the top holder.

Mikeyfrost - good luck in Iowa. Hope you learn to like corn. And you claim to know me but I don't know you. Not sure how that works but ok. Since you are from NC, get me tickets to a Duke - UNC game and we can be best friends.

Watchez, I have to tell you that I think my man is "working" at the moment. There is no way that he won't play. I'm pretty sure he's just figuring out the "runout."

These guys that come to him all mad and sh#$, with egos ablaze, are gonna go broke. He might match up better than Vette.

Oh, THAT'S why you asked me about my table yesterday! :) Sorry, I just checked back on this thread this morning. The after hours place is across from Smitty's, upstairs. Can't comment on the quality of the tables, cuz I haven't been in there.
 
Mikey, hows the Pioneer gig so far? Just make sure if you are going to try to pick up a girl, that you do not go to the fair for east side night in August or if you do, do not wear contacts. Best of luck in Des Moines, will probably see you out at Big Dogs or Stix sometime.

Being in Iowa for only 2 weeks does not give anyone the right to judge our state, We have alot of good players who respect the game, maybe you need to go look for them.April 3-5 why dont you head on down to Davenport and watch the ISPA tournament, they are having Elite players and the Pro Am tournament

Now you're talking buddy. Duke-UNC game is tough to get but I got the hookup for you. If you can remember PM me before next season and I'll have a college kid call you and you guys can work out a payment, $200-$300 Max for 3 or 4 tix by the way. I got ya kid.

Ohh soo many reasons Jeff, mostly because I'm just kind of frustrated with the scene and how my game is deteriorating, but I think that's partially because I don't have my Diamond in the house quite yet like I did in NC. Gotta spark action to get back in stroke, at least that's the way the country boys do it.
