Greensboro, NC area (25 miles radius includes Winston-Salem, High Point and Burlington areas) has weekly tournaments virtually everyday, but most of them are handicap tourneys (players known...with an established handicap locally). There are a some $$$ added handicap tournaments every week at Shooter's, Gate City Billiard Club and I'm sure others. Today is the big monthly bar box tournament at Shooter's...many very good regional players!
The regional tours, ie., Viking Amateur (and Pro), Great Smokey Shootout and Jacoby Carolina tour all stop through Greensboro, NC. The Jacoby Carolina tour will be at Gate City Billiards Club (near I-40 and W. Wendover Ave.) next weekend with a Early Bird tourney Friday night, the regular tour tourney Saturday and a 2nd chance tourney Sunday. Hope this helps.
Good Luck!
