For Sale: 1990 Titlist GINACUE

Ending this Sunday 4/05, I'm auctioning off a 1990 Ginacue made from a 1970 full splice Titlist blank. My guarantee is simple, 100% satisfaction or return for complete refund. If the buyer feels that their dissatisfaction is due to a misdescribed auction, I refund all the postage as well.

This auction won't disappear suddenly. I don't end auctions early. I don't have items for sale locally. This auction will run to the end. Interested buyers will all have an equal chance to bid and win the auction.

Please let me know if I can be of assistance.

Thanks

Ernie completed the refinish on this stick last week.

The Hoppe ring, joint and ferrule are ivory. The white insets in the trim rings look like ivory but I don't think they are, I'll check with Ernie and post here.

The close-up pics show a pair of "cat's eyes" in the lower butt, that's a worm hole that was revealed when Ernie originally turned down the blank in 1990. This blank was purchase by Ernie in 1970 and sat in storage during his break from cue building. He made this stick soon after his return.

Thanks

Kevin

I've seen this cue in person. Someone is going to be very happy with it.
Good luck with your sale.

Kevin, you came up with another fantastic example of Ernie's work.

Great cue.................

Thanks, this is a nice cue for those that like wrapless sticks.

Wait! You are the new king of Gina wrapless! Too bad you already had to sell body parts for that last cue. Any $$ left? Any body parts ?

Thanks

Kevin

PS When's the last time you had that Snakewood monster out?

I run in and take a peak about every 45 minutes.....................

That made me laugh at loud (and its probably true). I'm offering the wrapless sister from the other side of the tracks. I think they spent about 2 days together in The Master's shop. Perhaps you should reunite them.

Better go take another look at that beauty of yours.

I think you are confused.

Your crack dealer is a big unfriendly guy driving a Benz with those weird spinning wheels. I'm the happy guy putting around in an old Honda.

Cues you stroke, crack you smoke.

Buying crack will make you unhappy, take all your money and make you do bad things.

Buying cues will enrich your life, sticks by the right makers will make you money, and if you buy enough of them, you will go to heaven.

Now get that little glass pipe away from those cues. Wood will burn you know.

Peace

Kevin

I'm glad you like it. You might want to try to figure out a way to buy it. Its hard to imagine a better Titlist coming down the pike and as far as a Gina goes, when are you going to see another one like this?

Anyway, that's my pitch. Thanks for the nice words.

If it's possible to make an extra shaft ?

I'm sure Ernie would be happy to match up and make another shaft. It would run somewhere in the $200 range. Give him a call if you are interested.

Thanks

$200 or so for the most important part of a cue from a master is an incredible deal really when you think of it

I think when you can get anything in your hands from the, let's say, "Big Five", living cue makers, its almost automatically an incredible deal.

Speaking of the Big Five, what is that cue in your avatar?

Ernie's a good guy and he's certainly not out to pillage his clientele. But he's pretty busy and I'm not sure he's making shafts for anything but Ginacues.

His shaft prices are quite reasonable, assuming of course that the ring work is not too out there.

You know, you are right, Ernie does treat his clientele with respect. I've never felt that he has lorded is his "legend" status over me or made me pay for something I didn't need or want, or really, pay too much for anything. His cues are a deal, immediately worth at least what you paid him for it on the secondary market and you don't have to wait years to get them. And his refinish or repair work is beyond compare. Speaking of which, I'm ready to go $700 (today only) on that old beat-up soon to be obsolete Domino of yours.
