4 AZ'ers at Bangkok Tourney Today

Gobrian77, Monto P2, kchighendcues (now 4kingscues?) and myself are all playing in a tournament today in Bangkok.

I lost my first match 7-5 and its single elim, so I'm out. Kenny won his first match (I think its the SW I loaned him?) and Brian & Monto are playing.

Hard to believe I can be on the other side of the world and have 3 other forum members in a 32 player tournament. And all are really good guys.

Hi Cuaba,
I've been in Pattaya from 26.May at 4.June ,so if you in Thailand we can playing Pool, after we missed us in Stuttgard.

I just got back to Samui from Bangkok- it was great seeing Cuaba and Monto again, as well as meeting Ken (who may make it to the island later this week)- I got knocked out in the first round, but still had a great time.:thumbup:
 
too bad i could not join u guys... maybe we can meet in october, if my girlfriend wants to go again :-(
 
Tattoo, sorry I'll miss you. I gotta go back on the 19th for the V.N.E.A. tourney in Vegas.

Monto made it into the final and lost to the guy who knocked me out first round. I think the score was 7-3?

Kenny has a couple pics that hopefully he'll post.

I'll be back in about October (I'm in the States when its summer there and rainy here.) The pool scene here is really good.

No cases that I've heard about- after the SARS scare six or seven years ago the region is ready to handle a potential outbreak and has preventative measures already in place.
 
Sounds like a fun trip. What kind of game do they play there? I've heard they play a lot of snooker there. A few pix would be nice.

Ken has a couple of pics that he'll post when he has the chance (he's still in 'travel mode':cool:).

The tourneys/leagues are pretty much all 8-ball and 9-ball (this was a 9-ball tourney)- 10-ball is starting to get popular as well.

The Thais like snooker, and there are many snooker halls, but they tend to be 'off the beaten path' and not in the areas where foreigners hang-out (this isn't to say that many Thais don't play pool- there are some great players, and a local won the tourney:thumbup:).

Hi Everyone,

There are some very good pool players in Thailand including the Thai's and Expats.
I reached the finals but just played not good enough in the final match and lost 3-7.I pocketed 5000 baht for the effort.

More than the money i enjoyed meeting Cuaba,gobrian,Ken and specialy cuaba's mother again for the second time.She is a wonderful lady.

Ken has a couple of groups pics of us and i am sure he will post'em soon.

I have now moved from Chiangmai to Bangkok, so if anyone comes to bangkok can surely see me now.Just pm me.:thumbup:

I'm sure we will meet one of these days. But I won't be in Vegas til the 25th. Probably see you in Thailand.
 
Cuaba or the other Azers,
I will go one more to Thailand this Year with my US Harley Buddy (Chicken Hawk)here in Germany, so we try out September or October for 8 Days,him can not more.
We are in Pattaya but will not a Problem to go one Day/Night in Bangkok.

I'm almost always in Thailand in October. And I don't mind coming to Pattaya.
