That is one fine looking cue bro. I really like the propellers at least thats what I think there called. Is all white Ivory? Congrats to you my man. Another beauty to add to that growing collection of yours.

Brazilian

I have a Brazilian Rosewood Martin from the 60's, and it definetely sounds different from Indian Rosewood. Does Brazilian play different than Indian?

wow! this is a beauty

but you have to be very careful berny, it's very dangerous, walking out of the door, if it's a little stormy weather.

with the whole propellers you'll fly like this funny guy:

Very tasteful Berny, love the paper veneers. Great technique. You are really digging those full spliced cues, opens up a whole new meaning to the term 'hit'.

You have this cue because I have my Steve Klein. I'm glad it all worked out for both of us... great Blackcreek too! And it is indeed a true Full splice cue.

Thanks Jeff ... i am actually rebuild the collection and switch the mayor part into Fullsplice Cues .... so this one fits in really great

Very nice, Brazilian is the nutts and those inlays are perfectly executed.
Glad you like it Tommy .... Brazilian has become my second favorite Wood and the Inlaywork from Travis is really notched .... very impressive :)

Berny, this cue is right up your alley. Very Nice. Enjoy................

Thank you Jimmy ... the pics does not really show the amwesome Colors of this Brazilian because there are two different nuances of brown running completly through the whole Cue from the Buttsection up to the Points.

Great cue berny

Travis does a great job on cues. I like everything about this cue. It has a real classy look. Great find. Enjoy. poolrod.

One world: WONDERFUL!

You know this is that kind of a cue that you can't look at in its details during the first one or two minutes! I keep on scrolling down like a maniac looking for more clear pictures - and I want to forget all those I have seen before this isn't mine.

OK, The last statement is false as I am very happy that this magnificent cue is in your hands!

I wish that you take care of it and enjoy every minute with it!

Yours,
David :)

Something I wanted to ask: if you have tried to cue by now, how did you like the solid ivory joint's feel and feedback? I am a little bit reluctant when it comes to this particular joint type and I am sure you could provide me some information and maybe a comparison to all the cues you have had so far? What is it like compared to others?

Thanks :),
David

Hey David,
well thats a tough question ... i have owned a lot of very different typs of Cues .. the generally difference is based on the construction of the Butt in my Opinion.
This Typ of Joint Provides an great Feedback but also softened the Hit.

To be honest .. i personaly prefer:

in case of IVORY:
5/16-14 piloted Ivoryjoint ... it's imo more stiff than an Flat Faced solid ivory Joint ... don't ask me why ... its just my feeling.

in Case of Phenolic:
8/10 Flat Faced ... like it is used by Eric Crisp

in Case of Steal:
5/16-14 piloted halfjoint

But it always depends also on your personal Taste and feelings .. and even more about the whole SETUP on a Cue from ALL Componets, which works together .... BUTTCONSTRUCTION + Woodselection + Balance + Shafts + Taper + Tip + Joint + Screw + Ferulles ... and a lot of heart + Soul + Spirit and knowledge of the Cuemaker .....
THATS what they make different in any way.

There is only one save way to find out the possible BEST for yourself .... you have to take the journey and went through all of them ... if its possible try each typ of Joint from the same Cuemaker.
The more you explore, the more you will learn.
If you are able, keep always the best of them and move the others to get space for new experiances ... that's the way to find YOUR Holy Grail.

A long Road .... but hell you will love to walk it down Bro ;)

Hope i could help a little Buddy

Berny,

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts, I greatly count on it.

Although I have only had a very-very small fraction of the number of cues you have possessed so far but I can say that I have been feeling the very same way, just as you put it here:

"But it always depends also on your personal Taste and feelings .. and even more about the whole SETUP on a Cue from ALL Componets, which works together .... BUTTCONSTRUCTION + Woodselection + Balance + Shafts + Taper + Tip + Joint + Screw + Ferulles ... and a lot of heart + Soul + Spirit and knowledge of the Cuemaker .....

This is why I knew it was a strange question because I knew that all these material and immaterial components add to the cue (or detract from it if used badly) but I can recall that I could feel the difference coming from the joint when I was playing with the Capone cue's ivory sleeved radial.

I must go now because I am in a hurry so sorry for the quick response :)

Thank you so much once again!

Your friend,
David
