As for your crooked 314...forget it. Live with it or replace it. For you do it at home types....getting a Pred too wet is a bad, bad thing.:wink:

Yes they do, and Predator shafts are Notorious for it, even though it doesn't seem likely!!!!
To the thread OP buy a new one, if you can't use the old one it will make good fire wood, just do not breath the smoke!!!

i was going to buy the cue and shaft untill the guy said it was warped and try to tell me i could fix in a humidity box.

I think it is the long ride across the Pacific Ocean from China to the US in those Non temperature controlled containers. Because I mean it could not be the quality of the materials or the adhesives
, I had another poster who lives there make that very clear. He also helps one of the US Distributors of Chinese products watch their quality control.The funny thing is that Predator has their products made by one of the top Chinese factories KAO KAO, also long with many others. But, I agree they were certainly better when they were made in Canada.

If I had a million dollars, I'd make the factory right there next the mill.
Each shaft should have pieces from the same board.

you should never introduce any type of heat moisture humidity ect to any laminated shaft. wood swells differently wedges pop or move. can be very bad.
i agree older 314 where much higher quality. so bad now i switched back after 10 years of only 314

A good company
A friend of mine bought a Predator Hoppe at the Derby this year. The shaft seemed to warp in a couple of weeks.
I contacted Predator, told them about it, they said to send it in to them and they could straighten it.
Shaft was sent and it came back perfect. It's been back now over a month and it's still straight.
Don't know how they did it but they did fix it and it was the same shaft that came back not a new one.
Predator stood behind their product which was a Predator 2 shaft.
Do a search on Predator shafts, you should be able to find my thread, got a lot of help from my fellow AZ'ers.

You sir got back a different shaft. Did the same to a friend of mine...he sent one but got back another. It was actually lightly used too. When it fits your cue many players may not even notice. Glad you have a good one now.

i was thinking the same thing. unless it has custom ringwork. i cant see them taking time tostraighten a shaft. unless they found the secret every cuemakers been looking for over the last 100 years
if it is the same shaft and its straight now it prob wont be for long
