I sent these to the Buyer the other day and he asked me to post them up.

4 Ironwood Points into Curly Maple. The SS Joint is not attached yet, it was just placed there for the photos. Only ring is at the joint. Cue will be bumperless Hoppe Style. Notched Ivory Diamonds in the points. Butt will have Notched Diamonds and Circles. Possibly some silver inlays in the Ivory, but we'll see how it turns out.

I really like your new sig ring, Tony! Very nice. And I bet that ironwood is going to be awesome with the finish on it. It's a great looking wood.
 
Tony...those new rings are AWESOME!!!!!! Just love them! The cue looks terrific....you're getting better and better with every cue. :thumbup:

Lisa....wonders how many blades Tony dulled with that Ironwood?
 
Thanks Lisa. Actually, I used a .010" cutter to clean up the pockets and a .020" for the rough cuts as well as to cut out the parts. I used the same cutter on all 4 points. I think I used the same cutters this morning in the points on that redo of cue #46.
 
Great looking cue Tony. I love the ring work is that going to be your new standard, it looks so F%$#ing good it makes me a little bit jealous :D.

Probably Dustin. This is the second cue it's going into after about a month of tests. I guess you could say the third cue if you include the small cue for my daughter, which was another test piece. Hers actually have squared off edges on it. In looking at them under magnification, they looked good, but I went to the rounded edges for the final design. They just look cleaner.

The rings in the photo here still are a bit rough, they have not been sanded and still need another pass with the router.

In working these out I think I might have fixed my issues with my other rings too, but I've said that before. I think I'll offer both. These might end up costing a bit extra because they take twice as long per ring, but for now they are the same.

The actual size of the inlay is .5907" x .2400. I'm not sure how big it is on your screen, but it's about 2.5" long on mine.

Did you use the photo in your icon for an Inlay Matta? That would look really cool.

Nah, I made 4 of those for a pink ivory cue. I wanted the ebony around them to make them *pop* against the light background.

I was playing with them on the table and thought it looked cool. I'm a dork, I guess.. haha :) It does look cool but that is WAY too big to fit on a cue properly. That little design has to be near 1.5" wide. Maybe I'll try it one day I'll try a smaller version in a cue. Not really looking forward to making all of those TINY parts though. Some stuff just gets too small and tedious.

The rings are a killer. Very nice cue overall.

Inlays look real nice, but man, that wood and veneer combo look incredible together. That's going to be a super attractive cue.
 
I LOVE those sharp diamonds. I don't have the most developed eye for quality but from what I can tell that is some solid work. I do have an eye for artistic value and that is a classic beauty with contemporary accents. I especially appreciate the wood combination :)
