Very Nice Cue !!!!

If it's not a Titlist conversion cue then Dan must have made it as a Titlist Tribute cue. All the colors look right for a Titlist that I can see. Beautiful classic looking cue and wrap less too. Certainly gonna ring somebody's bell. This shouldn't last long

true

I know a few people like it. He was telling me he had quite a few people calling about the cue. hopefully it finds a good home. Looks good and I'm sure it plays well, witht he ivory joint and ferrule.

I also forgot to mention in my previous post the tips are moori tips.

cue

the prathers don't even look close to this cue when you take a close look.
thanks for the added support also for those who replied.

here is the response by Dan,

to the prather comment.

I made this cue from tip to butt plate.
And when somebody asks you if I made the butt the answer is yes.
I learned my lesson making the ebony S/P. Working on somebody else's work is a nightmare.

interest

I wanted to get this back to the top. its the first day i've had the cue.

im not trying to negate what has been said but, if he made the whole cue, why does it say conversion cue on the website? im just curious.. again - not trying to cause any trouble or call anyone out.

its a beautiful cue..

conversion

I originally thought this cue was a titliest conversion,
I am not sure what its converted from myself.
In email Dan told me he made this cue 100%.

For what its worth, with no factual merit what so ever. He might have had a cue around his shop he made years ago. he's been making cues for 40 years. who knows.

I personly don't like to not have all the facts about an item i'm trying to sell. I look at it this way.

If its a conversion cue from a titliest, with an ivory joint,
2 shafts with ivory ferrules and moori tips. converted by a Hall of Fame cue maker with 40 years of experience. not to mention an excellent looking cue.
1450 is a good starting point.

Worst case, which really isn't that bad. I have a full splice cue from a Hall of Fame cue maker, with an ivory joint, 2 shafts with ivory ferrules and moori tips. that looks and I'm sure plays great.
either way 1450 is a good price.

If i don't sell it today, maybe I'll sell it tomorrow.

thanks for the interest, comments and responses.

I'd agree with you best case, worst case scenario's, except the price. Find any other Joss cues that are selling close to that...

Veneers do not look like Titlist form here, fwiw. Still a good looking cue.

price,

As for the price thats were the offers come in.
Make one. the worst that could happen is I say no.

I've sold a few Joss cues from 1100-1300.
without ivory joints or ferrules. I havn't sold many of Dan's cues here on Az, But fortunatly for me there are other outlets for pool cues. I like to give the az community a shot at the cues. I'm an equal opportunity seller.
I guess only time will tell what this one will sell for. I never buy a cue for resale I wouldn't be happy owning.

cue

this cue is still available. I thought I'd bump the thread up to the top again.

Conversion

Sorry to cause so much confusion. The cue is NOT a Titlest butt.
I used the work as a generic term for this style of cue.
I don't make very many of this type of cue so I just used words that I had used when I made a couple of Duffern conversion cues.
Wrong words ... This is a Dan Janes / Joss Cue tip to toe.
I'll make sure I don't used that word in the future thanks for the help.

Hi Dan! Well, around these parts, these are more commonly referred to as a wrapless 4 point full splice with veneers and Hoppe ring...and a darn nice one at that!! :yeah: Also, a pretty unique offering from the Janes/Joss shop. I am not a big fan of ivory joints or ferrules...but it is still a very lovely cue indeed...unfortunately out of my price range at the current moment. :o A shame too, it would have fit in nicely with my whole 'wrapless full splice' theme for my fledgeling collection.

I think someone is gonna get a VERY nice cue here!

Lisa
