For that price range, it's a no brainer-Get a South West.
It's a sure thing on resale. No other cue in this price range will hold/increase it's value and sell as fast.
good luck-jeff

Your buddy missed out on vinniebabarooch's Tascarella. That was a smokin deal!

I'm left handed and played w/ the James White I have up for sale!! :) Check it out, another good deal!

He shot with my pre date South West and said a right handed cue doesnt feel comfortable for him.....personally he is an idiot.....but I had to ask....and I mean that he is an Idiot in th enicest, most friendly way!

Left handed Cue

Tell your friend that most (not all) cues play left handed if you turn them over.

I will relay that to him...although, he is the type of person that will argue...of course..he is ALWAYS right ;)

Your friend sounds like the guy who used to be my best friend, but a guy can only take so many years of that mindset. ;)

i have a left handed southwest that i am considering selling. purpleheart forearm birdseye points. it must be a left handed cue because i miss alot with it and i am right handed. come to think about it all my cues must be left handed, how else do you explain all the misses!

ftgokie,

I think your friend misunderstood what he wants. He doesn't want a "left-handed cue." He wants a cue made by a left-handed cue maker. It is well known that cues made by lefties are far superior because of the way in which the left-handed cue maker holds the knife on the lathe's tool rest.

One more thing: he will want to use only Blue Diamond chalk, as it is the only chalk certified for use by left-handed players.

Monkey wrench

When I was younger, I suffered the same disappointment that I think you might, but I wish you good luck. As for me, I never did find a left-hand monkey wrench.

Peace

Any cue can be re-wrapped so the threads run in hte opposite direction. Or just buy a wrapless cue...they're amphibious!

so thats why my cues play jam up !! im a lefty!! makes perfect sense now. all those years i used somebody elses cue.. i sure am glad i bought that left handed lathe !!

I have a gilbert listed on here for 700 or best offer above 7. Has only one small nick in the butt area of the cue, it can be seen in the pctures.

If he is for real about the left handed stuff, get him a cue from Mike Sigel. Sigel may be the best left hander in history and he makes custom cues. Some on AZ criticize his work, but no one can say he doesn't possess one of the greatest records in pool. He knows how a cue should hit. That would surely solve both needs of your friend.
