I'm in Indiana and I am wondering where the best place to play in southern Michigan would be as far as 9 footers in good condition, clean environment, and maybe someone to play for some cheap sets?

Will you be coming to the Detroit area, if so I can play some. Or were you just looking for a place around hwy. 69, Battle Creek or Kalamazoo. Let me know.

In addition to Playtime mentioned above, Brass Eagle in Bristol IN has a bunch of 9' and a 10' snooker table, but not much action. You can find tons of bar box stuff in thea area, but not much 9'. I would suggest www.insideenglish.net for a complete listing of tourneys etc for the area, they do a pretty good job with coverage.

Grand Rapids, well, just cross that one right off your list. There isn't even one good 9' in the town.

Such a pessimist. Your gonna keep anyone from stopping in and playing in your hometown if you keep this up. At least you have tables to play on in town! :)

I didnt know you were from Fort Wayne. Im from Kokomo, and the Ryno Room has some nice Gold Crowns to play on. I was just up there in Fort Wayne a couple weeks ago and I was surprised at the lack of 9 foot tables. There are more at my local room than there are in all of Fort Wayne. Good luck on your quest.

Playtime is okay, but the equipment is just okay. Jayme Goodwin FINALLY put one 9' Gold Crown back in his bar, The Brickyard Pub, on Columbia, in Battle Creek. It's a very tight table (4" pockets), with good cloth, and plays tough. Oneshotwiss...I'm available to play you some, if I'm in town. PM me, and we'll trade numbers. :D

Playtime Billiards in Kalamazoo is pretty good. It's on S. Westenedge. Holland has a couple of rooms, Guppies has 9' tables. Grand Rapids, well, just cross that one right off your list. There isn't even one good 9' in the town.

any decent places right in detroit (or close) to play?

Monday night at the Blue Diamond Lounge is where most of the action is. There is also Hall of Fame billiards and Plush Pockets just north of Detroit. Just south of the D is Ball and Cue. Shouldnt have a problem finding action in any of those places. There is also The Rack in Livonia, just north west of Detroit.

Tell me about it! The pool scene sucks here. We used to have a good Sunday 9-ball tournament every Sunday and this past week myself and 2 other people showed up to play...sad. And you are correct, there are only 2 9 foot tables in town and they are 9 foot bar boxes. Fortunately I have a 9 foot Diamond Pro-Am in my back room.

I have spent alot of time in Mich. and Ohio.... Benton Harbor had a decent enough pool room but they all play bank pool there... not one 9ball or 1 hole player there..... Detroit has more action then you probably want... more then alot of us want. Port Clinton, Ohio has a pool room with all 7 ft Diamonds and a tourny every night of the week.... The Rack Attack. Toledo, Ohio has a few players you probably won't like to play but action never the less. I know you said Mich. but these places are all within an hour or 2 away from eachother.

there is a nine foot Diamond at side pockets, and Carl is cool as hell, you should check it out. They also have two 7 foot diamonds there that play prett good.
