Yes, he wasn't required to start playing with it until after the World Games in a few weeks but he shot with it a bit in Vegas at the BCA Expo and liked it so he decided to start shooting with it sooner.
He's into the quarter finals now.

Me too but I got to hang out with Shane and Thorsten Hohmann. I really enjoyed my time with them. Thanks to Jeff for makin the trip happen and to Jerry for the Explorer and an extra special thanks to Shane for invitng us to lunch. Maybe we'll arm wrestle for the check next time Thorsten...

Thanks for the cool photos! All I can say is that if Shane walked into a poolroom wearing that outfit he would get lots of action. Of course, it's too late for that now. He already blew his cover. I wonder if there's a poolroom anywhere he could go into without being recognized. :smile:

AZB has just learned that the final match in Qatar will be between Pin Yi Ko and Mika Immonen. We will let you know as soon as their match is over who the new champion is.

so this is the new cue.looks quite interesting. i noticed it has the grip all the way to the butt cap.just where he grips it.nice

His new cue has a lot of neat features. Right now he's playing with it right off the shelf but I believe he plans to change the tip to a triangle (which is what he usually uses).
The cap on the butt of the cue unscrews and the cue comes with these weights that have threads on the outside that screw into the butt so the owner can change the weight easily on their own.
I spoke to Shane yesterday after his loss and he said that they both played well and made almost no mistakes in that match. Sounds like it would have been a great one to watch. The format is alternate break so it's easy to see how the match was so close.
