Praise for Patrick Cues

A few days ago, Gary Patrick posted some info and a photo of a cue he had made and now wanted to sell. It was snakewood and ebony.
I had a cue on order from him and he gave me an opportunity to swap my order for this beautiful piece of work. And now, I'm glad he did.
I have been playing pool for about 30 years and would like to say that this is the best hitting cue I have ever held in my hands. I want to thank you guys on this site because when I was looking for someone to make me a cue I saw several quotes about Gary's cues and each time they centered on the same subject -- playability.
The cue is definitely beautiful, but it is much more beautiful in your hands at the table. It is a keeper.
The first real cue I owned was a Meucci (which was given to me by Mike Massey after I wrote a long newspaper story about him back when he was just coming off the road). I later had a $1,400 Schon. Neither can compare with the Patrick I now own.
Thanks Gary for being such a great cue builder and thank you guys on AZ for allowing me to hear about him.

Do you mean Doug Patrick? If so I have a cue on order with him and I am excited.

Of course, it is Doug. He was so very helpful and easy to work with. One of my best pool purchase experiences ever.

I've got one . . .

Doug is a stand-up guy and builds awesome, affordable cues . . . I can't say enough about mine . . . everyone that picks it up and shoots with it at the pool hall is like, "Damn - that's one fine cue!" I'll be buying another . . .

Thanks for everything Doug - love your work!

Doug is a great guy

You guys are correct. Doug is a super guy. Someone I call a friend. I have been playing with one of his cues for the past 3-4 years. Mine is ebony with 6 amboyna points with diamonds and spears and diamonds in the butt. Cue has ivory joint and butt cap. If you get the chance, go to his shop. I have him working on a few cues and it is fun to go and watch him work on them. The best part is I get to give him a lesson on the table after lunch. Hope to get over soon.

Doug is a great guy, I think I called him by the wrong name once, the nite i met him I hadnt slept in hours/days and I said the worng name. he is a great guy!!!!

I love mine!

Doug Patrick owner of partickcustomcues.com. I'm very happy with Doug's way he treated me through this whole experience. Can't say enough about his great customer service, communication skills and knowledge of his business. He has been a pleasure to deal with and did a excellent job for me. He constantly showed me the progress of the creation of my cue. The cue was designed by Doug and myself and I can't believe the outcome, playability and finish on the cue. It has beautiful jet black ebony. Everything white from the joint down is ivory. The flame veneers are very nice and sharp, with matching rings in all places. It's finished off with white & black ring tail lizard wrap that is a very nice touch. Cue goes together nicely, everything lines up smoothly. I have gotten alot of compliments about this cue even from my personal friends with their old and new Black Boars. They also used this cue and really liked it's play and finish. Over all I give Doug all the credit for everything this cue is. Thank you Doug Patrick.
Enjoy the pictures of my cue and thanks for looking.

Doug is a great guy. He is extremely easy to deal with and his finishes are second to none. I just picked up one of his cues the other day finally and I am really enjoying it. The veneers really shine.

Our plant is just down the street from Doug's shop; if anyone is visiting let me know and we can hit a few.

Thanks Larry and everyone else that has posted here. I really appreciate wehn you guys love how your cue plays and looks also!! I have always built the best playing cue that I can and then tried to pretty it up. If anyone who is reading this is in the area you are always welcome to stop by my shop and say hello!!!

Doug,
I thought that would bring you out of hiding. I believe the next time will be mine. Positive thinking.

I can also vouch for Dougs work and how easy he is to get along with ... I had heard he played a pretty good game as does Leon Sly ...I would love to see these two get on a table and play some one day. It is always nice to have a cue builder that is not just a builder but a player also and knows what you want in a cue.

Well I haven't played with it but I must say it is one awesome looking cue!!
