Extremely cheap predator SPs

I dont get it. The product info says that it does come with a shaft, and the girl I talked to confirmed that the shaft is indeed a 314^2. The predator model is also stated, which comes with this shaft as standard. My call was even recorded.

I asked these questions specifically, and the call was recorded. If the product doesn't come as promised, I fully intend to argue to the bitter end over this. :p

Well when they got called out on this they flipflopped like a politician. I fully expected them to. This is a classic deceptive ad. I'd report it to the local attorney general. ;)

EDIT: They must have changed the wording already. LOLz

I just talked to a guy from customer service for about 10 minutes. He called to the warehouse for me and is trying to find out exactly what is going on. The overview of the add does say it comes with a shaft with a lepro layered tip (which is the stock tip on a 314). When i brought it to his attention, he said he visited a view places and said something must be wrong since its 381 dollars at every other website. Anyway, he said as soon as they call him back he's going to call me back and let me know, and if it's not what i think it is he has no problem just canceling the order.

Sounds like this business is earning every dollar. Except for the web folks, that is!

Those CSRs and Wharehose folks are earnin' their money today! Good on 'em!!!

Isn't it the law to sell as advertised?

I know here in Canada that if I store misrepresents the price, they're liable to sell the product for that price. They can't re neg on it.

I just got the return phone call and email back and it said,

"We definitely had our pricing and product information wrong for the line of
Predator cues. I am canceling your order now and will send you a separate
email confirming that. I apologize for the confusion, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns."

So, just giving you guys a heads up on it.

I just clicked the link to the website and it appears they have removed the predator listing all together.

I'm not certain if that's the case (I'm also in Canada). Future Shop, Dell and others often had pricing errors and sometimes they honored it for goodwill but not always.

I remember Amazon had many pricing errors in their early days especially, and same thing -- sometimes they honored it despite losing a lot, and sometimes they said they just couldn't do it (and didn't).

But, this went way beyond a pricing error on the website. You called the company and confirmed very specific questions such as the price and included contents. After all that, they absolutely should honor what they said and you confirmed.

Selling a product at its advertised price is not the issue (although you make a good point). This is a bit different. The store can refuse to sell at the listed price so long as it changes the listed price within 24 hours.

However once the customer has actually purchased the item, the store is now entered into a legally binding contract. The customer technically owns that product, has a receipt, and its the stores obligation to provide their end of the exchange.

Of course I could be wrong...

I'm not saying that anyone should make a fuss over this...lol...I'm merely discussing what should happen. :p

well i ordered one this morning at the $116.00 price. the price now on the site is $339.00. and it does say it comes with a predator 314 2 shaft. so we will see what i get in!!!

$116? Don't you mean $156? That was the cheapest Predator SP that I could find on there (before they changed it).

I also ordered a few :p

Predator SP

I ordered one also. I called them this morning and they said the cue was being shipped for Predator direct. I also ordered the 116.00 + 16.00 for shipping. We will see. Good luck to all.......
