F/S 20yr old 4 point w/Veneers and Spears Timmy Scruggs
Hello, I have a beautiful older (just about 20yrs old) model Scruggs. I am the original owner and, for those who know, I bought this from Timmy when his shop was in the old slaughterhouse.
I will not say that my cue is the exact one that used to be on his "menu", but he had one with the exact same colors as mine when he did a color, picture, sales brouchure, back in the late 80's, early 90"s.
This was my everyday player for many years. Several years ago, when I heard that Timmy was not making cues any longer, himself, that is, I put this cue away and have not played with it since.
Please forgive me on the specs as I don't have a scale or micrometer.
I believe the cue to weigh approx. 19 1/2oz. Both shafts are original, which would make them about 13mm. Triangle tips. Joint is stainless steel and Timmy's standard 5/16x14 joint.
Unbelievable BEM forearm. Wonderful veneers and spears. I am not totally 100% sure, but I think that the points and butt sleeve are Ebony. Either Ebony, or a REALLY dark stain. Just look at the pictures for yourself.
Just so that I am completely honest, there are a few small dings in the butt sleeve. There is a crack in one of the shafts. IT WAS REPAIRED. It's a long story, but the bottom line is that a shaft cracked, no collar damage, just a crack, and it was repaired. repaired well enough that the shaft in question, was my regular playing shaft.
The cue is a monster player.
It has the original milled aluminum joint protectors from Timmy. I don't know about the rest of you, but every used TS I see, doesn't have them anymore....at least not the original ones.
I am having a little work trouble and NEVER thought about selling this cue. My troubles are your gain.
I am looking for $1000 obo.
I am also not looking for any trades at this time, sorry.
With this being my first FS post, I hope I load the pictures correctly.
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.
Thanks for looking,
CUE IS SOLD---PENDING PAYMENT---
Eric.
