Any recommendations for pool instruction in Los Angeles?

I have a friend who feels that he's hit a wall and could use some direction. He didn't do so well in a recent match and wants to take his game up to the next level or two.

I'd like to give him some names and prices.

Yeah, that's deffinitely the short list. Also, find out when Scott Lee is going to be out there next. If he's going to be in that neck of the woods anytime soon, might be worth the short wait for your friend.
 
LA pool instructor

Try Sal Butera, Butera's Billiards in Moorpark. 805-523-3088 He coaches my son Brendan who has been doing very well with Sal's instruction. Before that Brendan worked with Max, but Max has been out of LA for about six months or so, and is in Idaho right now.

Yeah, Max said he wasn't out there any more after I sent my friend his number :)

when Max is in LA he is great, works out of Hollywood billiards last I heard

Where in LA does your friend live and where does he normally play?
 
Dave's very, very good, especially in teaching someone how to think-see-execute the game. His pattern play is impeccable.
