Terry Updates, health and gift fund

Charity was a poorly chosen word, oops. :o You know my intent tho, lol.

It is heartwarming to see the outpouring for Terry. This little AZ pool community has some truly good people. If only our beloved sport had more of the graciousness reflected by the people in this thread, pool would make poker look like pool. Wait.. that makes no sense, kinda.

BTW, I'm sure Terry likes rep comments. If you send him some, and you put your name in your well wishes comment, he'll know who it was from if he clicks the rep square on his recent posts (your User CP only shows the last 5, so this will be the only way for him to see more than that).

Yeah Terry was pleased . . .

Terry was pleased that he wasn't forgotten in the rep lists when he came back for a little while. We'll have him still up there pretty respectable when he comes back again. Rep for him is a fun thing, that is the way it should be.

I skimmed through the account info and I did get yours. I think I have received everyone's who said they planned on sending but I'm going to go back through the list in a few days.

Between what is in my paypal account and what people have told me is in the mail I have plenty for a laptop. Going to take care of that and maybe a bit more then when things get through trickling in I'll send Terry a check for the rest of the fund to buy DVD's with.

So many people have been fantastic. I just got a call from a lurker who never posts on here wanting to make a very nice donation. Everybody likes Terry and wants to help. I won't name names on the lurker but he shares his name with one of the Cartwrights on Bonanza. :D :D :D

HU, I just sent a payment of $100.00. from the chubbypaw email address (so you know its me) If we need more money let me know. I am also getting ready to send Terry a package of my own, should I mail it to his home or is there a better address?

His home is probably best to send anything to.

We should have plenty of funds for a laptop, wireless router if needed, and still buy some DVD's. One thing that surprised me is that a half-dozen people have made the same offer you have, to cover any shortages for this project. Each one thought that they were volunteering to cover the complete shortage so that makes it very special. So many people have joined in to do this that it doesn't look like anyone will be contributing anything extra and I may send the balloons yet, the suggestion that got all of this started! :D

To recap, right now we have the laptop/router covered, funds for DVD's, and TAR contributing a complete set of their DVD's for Terry to watch. I still have more people contacting me every day too. It was super easy to put this together thanks to everyone involved.

Scott,

Don't tell anyone but the laptop is for us, the members of AZB. Terry's PC is in his basement and he can't go up and down the steps. With a laptop and a wireless router if he doesn't already have one we will get him back on the forum sooner.

A very sincere thanks for joining in. I'm sure some people did miss this and it has still been huge. I have to count up everybody that has joined in but dozens of people have. Easiest fundraising I have ever done. All I did was suggest buying Terry a balloon and this is where we ended up! :thumbup:
