Partially Uses Block of Chalk?

Tips?

Bridge Heads or ?

Tip Replacement Kits?

I just took a bunch of items over to the local Boy/Girls Club, and honestly they don't have squat. But they have Pool Tables, and were very thankful for the donation.

If you are unsure if there is a Boys/Girls Club where you live try this<<<<<----- link.

I now know there are 12 Boys/Girls Clubs in the Phoenix Metro Area, all have at least 2 Pool Tables, and the one where I dropped off some USED Ball Set Made in China had one Table with NO BALL SET.

While I was dropping off the Ball Set I got the CLUB TOUR, and asked where is the POOL CHALK, and was told by the Branch Director, we have NONE! Next week they will thanks to some friends who gave me a Dozen Pieces of MASTER BLUE.

Honestly if you have anything Pool Related like an old WARPED Cue, Chalk of a Color you don't use, an Old Chipped Balls Sets I am sure your local Boy/Girls Club would love to have the stuff, as they most exist on donations only.

FYI

Yeah, I donated some cues to my local BC a few months back. They recently completed construction of a teen center that was to include a 9' table. I need to get back in there to see what else they may need.

One thing a lot of the clubs could use, even if they have cues, balls and chalk, is someone willing to coach some of the kids there that take it more seriously. Most of the clubs don't really have instruction of any kind. I'm sure many of them would also appreciate any help in running a tournament for the kids, perhaps donating some trophies or a cue stick to the winner.

I "stole" the "mud balls" at my local Boys and Girls Cub and left behind red-circle cueballs and chalk and old trophies.

That is where I started playing pool in the 1950's, the BOYS Club in Miami, now they are called the Boys & Girls Club but their mission is the same, with less resources.

Your Pool Junk is Treasurest to them.

Thanks friend, great idea !! I have several items that I would like to donate and I'll look into a local Boy/Girls club. Have a great day.

I did my good deed a few years ago, when i donated a 8 ft slate table, 6 house cues, 3 things of chalk, and set of balls and rack... At the time when i moved i had no room for any of it, so i donated it to the boy n girls club that was using a pool table you can buy from wall mart, you know the ones with the rails that were just a thin thin piece of rubber that was glued into a slot on the rail.

They don't want straight cues?

Btw, nice gesture!

You have some off beat remarks to everything. Why don't other people ask these questions? Look what you have do Ccowboy. Very nice. Now a few more Boys and Girls clubs will have stuff they really need. I will look into my local one and give them some sticks and stuff.

Dear Bruce,

On behalf of Sterling Gaming I will donate $500 worth of our equipment from our return shelves. Tell us what really need and we can cherry pick the equipment and try to fill up the order.

You tell me where to to send the stuff.

PM Sent....WOW:thumbup:

Cowboy, you're a good man. Thanks for the good work you're doing. I first was introduced to playing pool way back when at the boy's club. I guess I was about 13 or so. I'm going to check on a Boy's Club in this area and see if I can contribute somethin

I started playing Pool in 1954 at the Boy Club, before it was the as kow today Boys & Gwirls Club in Miami, FL.

Things have not change much as most of the kids in the PHX Clubs don't come from wealthy homes. They are the kids who DON'T HAVE CELL PHONE,WII's, X-BOXES, Never Been to Disneyland, and let say the famalies are struggling.

This is what the program direct told me when I ask about the AVERAGE MEMBER, he said 70% or more fit the profile fit, DON'T HAVE CELL PHONE,WII's, X-BOXES, Never Been to Disneyland, and let say the famalies are struggling.

Great thread, Bruce. Like many of us, I started playing pool at the Boy's Club when I was a kid growing up in Kearny, New Jersey.

In a few weeks I will taking part in a fundraiser in Tallahassee, Florida that will benefit The United Way - which oversees the Boy's and Girl's Club of America. I will be attempting to run 10,000 balls in two 12 hour shifts to raise money for the boy's and girl's club.

This has been a great undertaking and a lot of hard work and effort has been done by Dwight (BigDogAtLarge) to put this event together. In a few days we will be giving the information on how each of you can donate.

I have hopes that working hand in hand with the United Way will become commonplace for our industry, hopefully at the National Level.

I am willing to do these fundraisers anytime - anywhere to show the world that the game of pool has some great people with some big hearts. We get enough bad press, hopefully what we are doing here in Florida on the next couple of weeks can generate some positive press.

If you need any help locally, Bruce, let me know. This a great thing you're doing!

Think I am coveredBlackjack but if I need help you will get a PM. Honestly John Barton's/Stearling Gaming contribution I am sure will be like nothing the local clubs ever got before.
