I'm backkkkk boys, I missed y'all and apparently a couple of y'all miss me too.
Bob, no more ring games unless the people really want to play another one. If I start to hear people want to play again then I'll put one on despite the past. I'm open to it and I like to play them...hell yeah.
We got action Jackson... I think all said and done JB and Scott Hargens will be playing for $15k between whats going in the middle and the side...not bad for 2 below average bangers with some heart(I know both spot me but who cares I'm poking fun).
Robert Frost is leaving town today, that makes 3 Frosts in the DSM this summer...purrtyy funny. He gave Jamie the 8 and tortured him on the barbox. That kid is the nuts and he plays with a glove. He was supposed to play Jody some last night but dont know if that materialized.
Now I'm back so get this freakin thread rollin again por favor...I have 700 posts in this thread..I'm goin for 700 more!

Brilliant! I am back, I am playing league as well. I came back to shamelessly solicit for a substitute player on our team.
Our team is Myself, Asian Pet, Athens, Jody, Paul Ashmore, and Ashmore's roomie that I dont know. Our team name is the Unknowns. We play out of Square One on the west side. We have a strong plan to have fun and let the chips land where they land, but we will have a good time during league. That's my only requirement for playing.
Back to our regularly scheduled non scheduled program!

I was being a little fececious in my post, it's not about league. I just don't want to get mixed up in the trash talking discussion that had been brewing, I think anybody can win, just depends on who can bring it, week in and week out for the longest stretch.
I don't want to gamble on league, that's counter productive for me. I just kind of felt that breeze turning into wind gusts and decided to bow out early. What are you doing for league?
I think most of the focus should be about Jon and Scott duking it out which will lead to me not making it down to Olathe for this tourney which I'm OK with although I like it down there. Sooo what's happening DSM?
I hope so, haven't been out there for that one yet, been to the rest of them though. Plus I have a soft spot for cold dealers that I seem to attract. I cant even get a push in Pai Gow.
Come out - I will get us a Pai Gow table at the Wynn with a hilarious dealer and promise you will have a great time. They let me play and 5 friends drink & never say a word.
Lol....on Monday night WE were the Unknowns for a few moments, so thank us for that name. Geoff apparently put us in the wrong league...and you guys, too. We just transferred all of us to my Thursday's bca team instead, which was empty because I actually believed what a pool player promised me....der!

That's a go if you can get that. If I can win a little or lose a grand or two and have a blast while doing so I'm a happy guy. I wanna see some of the pro tourney too...we should make that happen sounds like a good time plus I love Vegas.
Jeff we will do your team name and home bar proud...we are just subbing for your team. We'll consider it an honor...I might introduce myself as Jeff Livingston's cousin when I get there haha. Hope they aren't checking ID's too hard JK
Truth is, I've never been in that bar.
I was supposed to be a just a sub, but with all the mix-upped teams (cuz of the new combo league rearranging everyone), I ended up being captain for about an hour before we figured out we were in the wrong league!
All I ever wanted was 5 guys who showed up, paid their dues, and could go to state maybe. You'd think there'd be 5 guys in Des Moines who wanted that, too, but alas, once again disappointment.
League is a trip.... I like it but it is much more difficult to pull off than it should be, imho.

The dual league on mondays is officially the toughest league ive ever played in.

Talked to Scott the other night, and everything is still a go for October 3rd. I can't wait to get in the box with someone that likes 8-ball as much as I do. It's gonna be fun to play!!

I just want to remind everyone that Mike Massey will be here October 2nd to do a FREE show! It will start at 7pm, and run for at least 3 hours. He will also be doing a pool school on the 3rd as well. I hope to see everyone at Big Dog's for a great weekend of pool!!

I don't know what kind of player our team should be looking for...I do think they should at least like to drink beer though. The league is pretty good on Mondays though, I think everyone is playing. I'm gonna go continue my hangover now and come to terms with I cant drink and party like I could when I was in college.
Yeah, it's good to have the Mini-Freezer back in the mix to shake things up!
Jon,I forgot to talk to you about posting show money. I know you said earlier that it was no problem. Mike Frost has my $1000. He can hold the post money or we can get someone else to....let me know what you think!
