Jay Helfert keeping me awake at night

With so many "poolplayers" reading this book in a day or (2) days, I am starting to wonder if it has very large type and lots of pictures...like a kids book...lol.

Just Kidding... Although I have not read it yet, I am sure it is a great book.

It's actually 168 pages and regular type. There are 72 photos, so that cuts down somewhat on the reading material. Maybe sixteen pages total of photos.

USPS delivered my copy at 3pm one day..I finished it by 9pm the next day....no exageration....I've got a very active life but this was more important. ..since then I've gone back and read parts 5-6 times as posts come up here that are relevant.

My favorite is when Keith "lost" your cue.

Jay...honestly...the story about your match when your brother was watching was inspirational....I know the feeling when you "have" to show the person you look up to what you're made of.

Thank you Jay ...and like the previous posters mentioned and eluded....we want more sir.

I was joking. I am sure it is a great book.

I actually tried to order it several months ago but I didn't have paypal. However, I recently got a paypal account, so I expect to order it soon.

Anyway, I was only joking about the large type and pictures.

Maybe next time

I hate to admit it-but a "READERS DIGEST LARGE PRINT" version might work.

If it were an option I would buy the next one in large print. More pages? I'd pay a bit more. I have to wear my glasses to chase food around on my plate.

Might not be a bad idea. But maybe too costly to publish two versions. If so, I'll just turn on more lights to read by.

If Jay writes another one-I'm there -regardless of the print size.

Awesome book . I think my favorite part was when the two kids got in a fight in your pool room and you really thought they were gonna kill each other. The way you wrote it made me feel as if I had witnessed this with my own eyes.

Great read!! I also read it the first time in two days. I took a little more time the second time I read it, and enjoyed it just the same!!

I know that. I can take a joke. My entire pool career was one! :grin-square:

Pool Wars on Vacation

I also read Pool Wars in two days. It was a great read!
In a future book, I hope to read some stories about some
Canadian players that Jay has played and met in his travels.

On a side note, I was thinkning of starting a thread with
a photo of the book in a unique location, like the people
who stole an old ladies garden gnome and took photos of
it around the world. See the below link for reference:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1043552/Gnome-Stolen-garden-elf-returned-7-month-adventure-world.html

Below is my snapshot of Pool Wars from the executive
floor of the Athens Hilton viewing the Acropolis on
vacation last month. I know my idea is probably corny,
but what the heck! However, this idea may show forum
readers where this book is being read.

Cheers, Mark
