Is the Magic Eraser for cleaning your shaft that everyone is referring to the one from Mr.Clean or an actual billiard product manufacturer?

Mr. Clean the bald headed gentlemen. Works pretty spiffy to.

Magic E works pretty spiffy.
ME leaves a bit of grit on the shaft, I use alcohol to wipe the shaft down, then burnish with leather, a coat of Q Wax and leather again.

As far as I know Mr. Clean has nothing to do with the billiard world. It is just a household cleaning product that works well on cue shafts.:wink:

It is the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I prefer the "extra power" version because it's thicker and lasts longer. Here are pics of both types:

How Magic Eraser was invented.

Funny origination story. Magic Eraser was originally discovered by an experiment gone awry. In the late 60's Gus Szamboti was working out of his house making cotton candy for his son Barry. Barry took a bite of this white concoction and he didn't like it in the least! His tummy revolted. He projectiled a wad of white gunk across the kitchen. It slid down the wall and came to rest on the shaft of Gus' favorite palying cue.

Barry frantically ran over to it and wiped it off. And much to his surprise - Viola! It was a clean as the day he turned it. The rest is history!

I get the generic ones from the dollar store and they work great.

I use them dry, several cue makers said no water and if you use alcohol use denatured
alcohol
